<![CDATA[Background: The high number of people with diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the community of Kediri City is a result of a change in the lifestyle of the people to a less healthy direction, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. The community's lack of knowledge and understanding of hypertension and diabetes in general, especially with regard to targeted treatment, also affects the routine monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels of individuals. There is a need for counseling activities in the form of education about target therapy of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the community in Kediri City, especially the community in Sukorame Health Center working area so that it can provide meaningful recovery therapy. Objective: To increase knowledge and patient compliance in therapy and how to evaluate hypertension and diabetes mellitus. Methods: Provision of counseling to the community of Posbindu PTM Bugar Senja in the working area of the Sukorame Health Center and assessment of the knowledge before and after the counseling by means of questionnaires. Results: Counseling activities on the need for knowledge of diabetes mellitus and hypertension target therapy in the community Posbindu PTM Bugar Senja, Puskesmas Sukorame, Mojoroto, Kediri, was held on 6 July 2023 with 45 participants. There is an increase in understanding and knowledge of target therapy in diabetes mellitus and hypertension based on the results of the questionnaire before and after counseling. Conclusion: Improved knowledge about the importance of target therapy for diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the Posbindu PTM Bugar Senja municipality.]]>
