Abstract

Students of the 2023 cohort at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo, are in a transitional phase toward higher education that involves academic, social, and emotional demands. Some students, particularly those living apart from their parents, report low levels of family support, which may affect their ability to cope with academic pressure. This study aims to analyze the influence of family support on the self-resilience of 2023 cohort students at the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The population consisted of 221 students, with 56 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert scales measuring family support and self-resilience through Google Forms, and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27 through simple linear regression, Pearson correlation, and t-test. The results show that family support has a positive and significant influence on self-resilience, with a t-test significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-value of 4.069. The Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.484 indicates a moderate relationship, while the R Square value of 0.235 indicates that family support contributes 23.5% to self-resilience. Thus, the higher the family support received by students, the higher their self-resilience.
