This study aimed to describe the alignment of the revised first volume of Bahasa Indonesia: Aku Bisa! for Grade 1 with the Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran/CP) for Phase A. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using library research and content analysis. The data consisted of the Phase A Indonesian Language CP document, the learning objectives presented in the book’s eight chapters, and the learning activities included in the book. The analysis covered four CP elements: listening, reading and viewing, speaking and presenting, and writing. Alignment categories were determined based on the identifiable content and learning activities that supported the competency demands of each CP element. The findings indicated that the content related to listening, reading and viewing, and speaking and presenting was categorized as aligned, although some aspects required further support through teachers’ instructional planning. In the writing element, however, the coverage of the expected competencies was not sufficiently identified, particularly regarding activities involving the writing of various text types. This finding should be interpreted cautiously because the analysis was limited to the first volume for Grade 1, whereas Phase A CP describes competencies expected to be achieved by the end of the phase. The study did not measure students’ learning outcomes; rather, it focused exclusively on document analysis and the learning activities presented in the textbook. Therefore, the book supports the development of foundational literacy but should be complemented with relevant materials and learning activities to support the achievement of the CP more comprehensively.
