The habitual practice of Dhuha prayer is one of the religious activities implemented to support the development of student discipline at SDN 02 Percontohan Bukittinggi. However, studies specifically analyzing the relationship between the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer and student discipline in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the relationship and predictive contribution of the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer to student discipline in PAI learning. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 58 students from Classes VI.B and VI.C who were selected through random sampling from a population of 87 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire and documentation and subsequently analyzed through product–moment correlation, simple linear regression, a t-test, and the coefficient of determination with SPSS. The results showed a strong positive relationship between the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer and student discipline in PAI learning (r = 0.791; p < 0.001). The R² value of 0.626 indicated that the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer explained 62.6% of the variation in student discipline, while the remaining 37.4% was associated with other factors not included in the study. These findings confirm that the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer has a positive relationship with and makes a significant predictive contribution to student discipline. This study provides empirical contributions to the development of religious habituation as part of character education in PAI learning. In practical terms, schools and PAI teachers need to implement the habitual practice of Dhuha prayer consistently and systematically to support the development of student discipline.
