Abstract

Risky sexual behavior among adolescents is a health issue that can lead to unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS, as well as various social and educational consequences; meanwhile, limited reproductive health education in schools can increase adolescents' vulnerability to such behaviors. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and risky sexual behavior among adolescents at SMK TKME Cirebon City in 2025. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytic design and a cross-sectional method, involving 81 respondents selected via a total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires assessing knowledge, attitudes, and risky sexual behavior, and were subsequently analyzed using univariate and bivariate methods, including Chi-Square tests and linear regression analysis. The results showed that the majority of respondents possessed good knowledge (59.3%) and good attitudes (58.0%), and fell into the "good" category regarding risky sexual behavior (63.0%). Significant relationships were found between knowledge and risky sexual behavior (p = 0.000; r = 0.546; R² = 29.8%) and between attitudes and risky sexual behavior (p = 0.000; r = 0.764; R² = 57.8%). The key finding indicates that attitudes have a stronger relationship with behavior than knowledge does. Consequently, the prevention of risky sexual behavior requires a comprehensive approach involving the strengthening of knowledge, the fostering of positive attitudes, the development of decision-making skills, environmental support, and sustained reproductive health education in schools.
