Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a prediction model for the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method as one of the effective deep learning approaches in capturing nonlinear time series patterns. This study tested three model approaches, namely the Univariate model which only uses historical JCI data, the Multivariate All Feature model which integrates all external variables, and the Multivariate Selected Feature model which uses selected external variables. External variables considered include world gold prices, world oil prices, rupiah exchange rates against the United States dollar, and international stock indices that affect the Indonesian capital market. The model performance evaluation was carried out using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) indicators. The results showed that the Multivariate All Feature model provided the best performance with a MAPE value of 0.76, an RMSE of 66.72, and an MAE of 51.58, which was consistently lower than the other two models. Significance tests using ANOVA and Tukey HSD confirmed significant performance differences between models. These findings indicate that the integration of external variables is able to significantly increase the accuracy of JCI predictions. This research is expected to be a reference for investors, capital market analysts, and researchers in the development of artificial intelligence-based decision support systems in the Indonesian stock market.

Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product is one of the good indicators to measure the economy of a region. In this study, GRDP modeling was conducted with the independent variables of the employed workforce (X1) and the number of job training institutions (X2) using spatial regression and Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The purpose of this study was to determine the spatial regression model of GRDP with these two predictors or independent variables, to determine the interaction of the proximity of districts/cities with neighboring districts/cities, and to determine the effect of the employed workforce (X1) and the number of job training institutions (X2) on the GRDP value. The results showed that based on the Robust Lagrange Multiplier test, the appropriate spatial regression was the SAR model. The coefficient of determination and MAPE in the OLS model were 57.8% and 1.888, while in the spatial regression model were 68.72% and 0.4139. These results indicate that spatial regression is better than OLS in modeling GRDP in East Java, because the coefficient of determination of the spatial regression model was larger and the MAPE was smaller than the OLS model. The interaction of the proximity of a district/city with neighboring districts/cities indicates that the district/city economy is influenced by the economy of neighboring districts/cities. The two independent variables, namely the employed workforce (X1) and the number of job training institutions (X2) have a positive influence on the GRDP value.

Abstract

Abstract: The puli cracker home industry in Jaddih Village, Bangkalan, still relies on conventional production methods, particularly solar drying, which results in inconsistent processing times, risks of contamination, and variable quality due to weather conditions. This community empowerment program aims to improve product quality and business sustainability through the development of a hybrid dryer (solar and gas-based), capacity building, and standardization of food processing. The program involved 10 local artisans through training and practical mentoring. Evaluation was conducted through equipment performance evaluation, direct observation, and product quality assessment. Results showed a 43,3% increase in technical skills related to equipment use, a 25% increase in hygiene and standard BPOM, and a 50% increase in production efficiency during the drying stage. The results of this activity indicate that technological interventions combined with skills development can strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of micro-food businesses.
