Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of soft skills, hard skills, and digital literacy on the employability of Generation Z students in MSMEs in Tanjungpinang City. The population in this study includes Generation Z students who have worked/interned in MSMEs in Tanjungpinang City. This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of 150 respondents selected using a non-probability sampling technique, namely accidental sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and literature studies. Data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, f-test, and coefficient of determination using the IBM SPSS program version 26. The results showed that soft skills did not have a significant effect on employability. Conversely, hard skills and digital literacy had a positive and significant effect on employability. Simultaneously, soft skills, hard skills, and digital literacy had a significant effect on the employability of Generation Z students in MSMEs in Tanjungpinang City. The R Square value of 0.813 indicates that soft skills, hard skills, and digital literacy were able to explain the employability of Generation Z students by 81.3%, while the remaining 18.7% was explained by other factors outside this study.
