Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of the Sinohara 60T press machine at PT Ciptaunggul Karya Abadi using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method as part of the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). The research problem arose due to high downtime, frequent breakdowns, and decreased machine performance affecting production productivity. This study aimed to determine the OEE value, identify the factors causing low machine effectiveness, and provide improvement recommendations. The research method used quantitative and qualitative approaches through observation, interviews, and processing production and maintenance data from November 2023 to March 2024. The results showed an availability rate of 94%, performance rate of 88%, quality rate of 97%, and an OEE value of 80%, which is still below the world-class standard of 85%. The dominant factors causing the low OEE value were setup and adjustment losses as well as idling and minor stoppages losses.
