Abstract

Anxiety experienced in the third trimester of pregnancy can negatively impact the delivery process and the mother's psychological state. In addition to psychological changes, physical changes also increase anxiety during pregnancy. One of the most common mental health problems is anxiety, which is generally triggered by hormonal fluctuations and the emotional stress of adapting to motherhood. This study aims to examine factors that influence anxiety in pregnant women in their final trimester. The study design used correlational analytics with a cross-sectional approach, involving 36 respondents selected through purposive sampling from a total population of 122 people. Data were collected using the HARS questionnaire and tested using Chi-Square. The analysis results showed that age (p = 0,001), parity (p = 0,014), occupation (p = 0,000), economic status (p = 0,002), education (p = 0,018), knowledge (p = 0,001), and husband's support (p = 0,000) had a significant relationship with maternal anxiety levels. In conclusion, strong husband or family support and good knowledge through education can reduce the risk of excessive anxiety. Therefore, as health workers, we are expected to provide routine psychological education as a preventive measure.
