Abstract

The low public interest in pursuing higher education is often caused by economic constraints and a lack of financial literacy. This community service activity aims to increase public interest in higher education through the concept of financial freedom, supported by the village administration of Kabuaran. The implementation method consists of two stages: 1. Observation, and 2. Socialization of financial freedom to increase interest in higher education. The program was implemented in the form of a socialization activity on financial freedom to boost interest in higher education. Additionally, the assistance output provided was broadening the community's insights into financial freedom. The results of the socialization showed an increase in mindset shifts regarding financial freedom management for higher education purposes, an increase in public interest through "investment from the neck up" (self-development), an openness of community insight toward higher education, and a direct impact in the form of a great sense of self-confidence. In conclusion, a part of the community was previously not well aware of the importance of financial freedom in increasing interest in higher education. However, the community has now become open-minded regarding the importance of financial freedom.
