Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using the Quiziziz app as an assessment tool in improving the Arabic writing skills of seventh grade students at the Science Education Secondary School in Bangariga Kdogfrig Lamongan. This study utilises a quantitative comparative method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The research sample consisted of two randomly selected seventh grade classes, namely the experimental class that used the Qwiziz application and the control class that used traditional assessment methods. Data were collected by administering written tests before and after the treatment. The data obtained was then analysed using a post-hoc test to compare the improvement in writing skills between the two groups.The results showed that there was a significant difference between the improvement in writing skills of students in the experimental group that used the Quizzes and the control group. Students in the experimental group experienced better improvement in writing skills compared to students in the control group. This indicates that using the Quiziziz app as a means of assessment can be an effective alternative to improve students' Arabic writing skills.
