Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of suboptimal job satisfaction among educational staff at Universitas Potensi Utama, which is closely related to the implementation of leadership styles and the dynamics of social and psychological interactions in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of neuroleadership and the non-physical work environment on the job satisfaction of educational staff, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative-causal design, involving 86 respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. Primary data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed using the multiple linear regression method. The results showed that neuroleadership partially has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Meanwhile, the current inharmonious non-physical work environment has an opposite effect, acting as a factor that can decrease employee job satisfaction levels. The conclusion of this study is that neuroleadership and the non-physical work environment simultaneously have a proven significant effect on job satisfaction, with a contribution of 34.8 percent. Improving job satisfaction requires comprehensive steps, ranging from optimizing support and guidance from leadership to creating better communication channels among coworkers.
