Abstract

Introduction: Pulpitis in children is a dental health problem that requires special attention through effective and integrated health policies. Kendari City faces challenges in reducing the incidence of pulpitis, thus supporting a child health policy system, the Child Health and Integrated Policy System (CHIPS). This study aims to analyze the relationship between the Child Health and Integrated Policy System and pulpitis incidence in Kendari City. Method: The research used a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) model, data were collected through surveys of related agencies and health workers in Kendari City. Result: Child Health and Integrated Policy System were shown to have a very strong and significant influence on the incidence of pulpitis (β=0.667; p=0.000), which indicates that an integrated policy system can improve the detection, reporting, and handling of pulpitis cases effectively. Conclusion: Health workers in Kendari are encouraged to develop promotive and preventive approaches supported by the Child Health and Integrated Policy system to accelerate the detection and treatment of pulpitis in children.
