Abstract

Today, citronella essential oil business in Indonesia is fronting two major problems: a diverse range of product quality and fluctuated price. Meanwhile, the global market demand keeps increasing until 3–5% per year. This fact indicated that the citronella essential oil business was having a high chance of participating in the global market. This study aimed to analyze the citronella essential oil business feasibility as a “people-oriented-economy” activity and determine variables that affected the feasibility in implementing this business. Citronella essential oil is produced by a steam distillation process with a production capacity of 2,400 kg/year. The number of citronella essential oil international product sales was reaching 76% with the selling price of IDR 360,000/kg and reaching 24% on the local market with the selling price of IDR 180,000/kg, therefore the total of sales in 300 days/year was IDR 7,360,320,000. Based on this calculation the total of profit obtained in a year was IDR 99,463,383. An effort through managing the material and selling price sensitivity already done to maintain the BEP and B/C values. The increasing price was anticipated by managing the product selling price fraction, while the decreasing of the selling price anticipated by managing the market fraction.

Abstract

Waste is the residual product from an industrial process and the household, useless, no economic value and is a serious problem in the industrial era 4.0, where regulations on environmentally friendly industrialization are an important issue. Primary industries such as sugar cane, oil palm, cocoa produce a lot of wastes during the pre-harvest period such as leaves and three litters, and in the post-harvest period such as pulp, fruit skins, and fruit pulp. PT Berau Cocoa processes cocoa skin waste into animal feed which is applied to cattle in Binungan. This research uses a descriptive research method and how to teach data by distributing 50 questionnaires to cocoa farmers. The results of data analysis show the fact that most cocoa farmers are male of 38 peoples (76%), high school education level of 33 peoples (82%), joined along 4-6 years as 45 peoples (90 %), all respondents are married, and own private land. Supporting factors that influence the processing of cocoa waste into animal feed can be seen from the average value of each factor, method factor (0.596), material factor (0.512), human factor (0.416), and money factors (0.404), and the lowest average is the engine factor (0.312).

Abstract

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) menjadi prioritas utama bagi suatu perusahaan ataupun suatu instansi termasuk pada dunia pendidikan untuk mereduksi kemungkinan munculnya sebuah risiko baik risiko yang berasal dari alam (natural Risk) namun juga dari dampak kehidupan manusia yang mengakibatkan kondisi tidak aman dan tindakan tidak aman. Politeknik Sinar Mas Berau Coal sebagai salah salah satu perguruan tinggi di Kabuaten Berau memiliki workshop atau bengkel dalam menunjang aktivitas akademik khususnya Prodi Perawatan Mesin Pertambangan tentu terdapat bahaya dan risiko potensial yang dapat menyebabkan kerugian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya yang dapat terjadi di Workshop Politeknik Sinar Mas Berau Coal. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat 9 jumlah aktivitas dimana terdapat 31 jumlah bahaya dan risiko potensial dengan hasil rata-rata penilaian risiko adalah sebesar 60,98 masuk dalam status Priority 3 sehingga diperlukan pengawasan selama aktivitas yang dilakukan di area workshop. Abstract

Pemilihan supplier merupakan salah satu hal yang penting dalam aktivitas pengadaan dan pembelian bagi perusahaan dimana menjadi masalah multi kriteria yang meliputi faktor-faktor kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada sebuah perusahaan UMKM Butik Rumah Kebaya yang mengembangkan hubungan kemitraan dengan beberapa supplier.  Metode yang digunakan adalah Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dibantu dengan software Microsoft Excel dengan perhitungan Eigen Vector  dalam kegiatan pemilihan supplier. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah para pengambil keputusan dan pihak-pihak yang berada dalam devisi pembelian yang mengetahui kinerja supplier. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan judgment sampling karena metode AHP mensyaratkan ketergantungan pada sekelompok ahli sesuai dengan jenis spesialis terkait dalam pengambilan keputusan. Supplier yang menjadi pilihan pelaku usaha adalah UD Kartini dengan nilai 0,68 yang menjadi nilai terbesar, lalu diikuti oleh UD Indah dengan nilai 0,24, dan pada posisi terakhir adalah UD Alfako dengan nilai 0,08. <w:LsdException Locked="false" Priority="52" Name="Grid Table 7 Colorful Accent

Abstract

Supplier performance appraisal is an important decision in a company, because it will increase the company's competitiveness in the face of very competitive business competition. UMKM Ice Fruit Buffet Arumi is currently selecting suppliers who will supply raw materials for Nata de Coco with three suppliers, namely Solo Swalayan, Nano Mart, and Toko Idang. In the selection of suppliers carried out by the Arumi Fruit Ice Cream UMKM, previously it was only based on the intuition of the business owner and there were no previous methods that supported it. The method used in this study is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The criteria that can be used to assess supplier performance are price, quality, and location. The research location was carried out at an Arumi Fruit Ice Cream UMKM located on Jl. Mount Panjang, Tanjung Redeb, Berau. Respondents in this study were the owners of UMKM Ice Fruit Arumi Buffet. The results showed that the highest score was "Solo Supermarket" with a value of 0.563236, then "Nano Mart" with a value of 0.2155, and the last was "Toko Idang" with a value of 0.2212528. So it was concluded that the best supplier was "Self Service Solo".

Abstract

PT. Taubah Jaya Abadi is a company who production of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) with the Destine brand, producing 220 ml cups, 250 ml and 600 ml bottles, and 19 liter gallons. The highest problems occurred in 220 ml cup packaging products, namely reduced product volume, dented cups, slanted lids, leaky lids, and trimming. Purpose of this study was to determine the level of DPMO defects and sigma values for the factors that cause product defects. Method used six sigma with the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) stages. Results showed that the causes of product defects came from 5 causes of human factors, 9 causes of machine factors, 5 causes of method factors, 6 causes of material factors, and 1 causes of environmental factors. Proposed improvements using the FMEA method, inspection of of raw materials sample and operator training on operating process the equipment and workings.

Abstract

PT Indo Pusaka Berau adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang ketenagalistrikan, dimiliki oleh Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Berau (49,48%), PT Indonesia Power (46,53%), dan PT Jasin Effrin Jaya (3,99%). PT IPB (PLTU Lati) berdiri pada tanggal 12 Januari 2005, mengelola pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan PLTU berkapasitas 3 x 7 MW di Kabupaten Berau-Kalimantan Timur. Kontinuitas produksi yang tinggi, kebutuhan akan parts yang spesifik pada unit-unit pembangkit, membuat perusahaan rentan terhadap risiko yang mungkin terjadi di sepanjang aktivitas rantai pasok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis risiko yang terjadi dalam aktivitas rantai pasok PT Indo Pusaka Berau serta memberikan rekomendasi mitigasi terhadap sumber risiko prioritas untuk mengurangi potensi terjadinya risiko tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) dan House of Risk (HOR) untuk mengetahui risiko yang terjadi serta menentukan mitigasi risiko melalui tahapan HOR fase 1 dan HOR fase 2. Berdasarkan HOR fase 1, teridentifikasi 24 risk event dan 30 risk agent pada aktivitas rantai pasok perusahaan. Dengan menggunakan diagram pareto melalui prinsip 80/20, ditetapkan 2 risk agent prioritas dengan peringkat tertinggi, yaitu kerusakan peralatan pembangkit yang berakibat mengurangi ketersediaan daya (A1), serta kelangkaan parts (A11). Berdasarkan HOR fase 2 melalui perhitungan nilai ETD, didapatkan urutan rekomendasi mitigasi yaitu: optimalisasi tata kelola pembangkit (Work, Planning, & Control) (PA1), perencanaan kebutuhan parts (Rendalhar) dari user sejak dini (PA5), pemetaan critical parts (PA6), optimalisasi Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) (PA2), pembuatan kontrak payung dengan supplier (PA7), implementasi ISO 55001: 2014 (manajemen aset) (PA4), dan optimalisasi display dashboard CMMS fix profesional (EDMS) (PA3).

Abstract

Every business sector certainly wants consistency in production results, this can be realized through collaboration with raw material providers or suppliers who can ensure the consistent availability of raw materials because the production of raw materials is very vital. Therefore, it is necessary to have a good raw material procurement system and supplier selection so that the production process can run smoothly. Milkyway Cafe is the first pioneering UKM of beverage and food business in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan which has a special characteristic of beverage products made from milk which are liked by many customers, especially teenagers, children, and families. There are problems experienced when selecting suppliers who provide raw materials for UHT milk because there are several factors to consider, namely price, delivery, service, and accuracy of quantities. The sample of the research is the owner of the business that regulates the procurement of UHT milk. The results of the analysis and calculation of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) using Microsoft Excel stated that the chosen alternative, namely the Kompas with a weight value of 0.46, was superior to the Simpang Utama with a weighted value of 0.34 and the Tops Jaya with a weighted value of 0.20. The main factors that are prioritized in the selection of suppliers at Milkyway are service criteria with a weight value of 0.18, the accuracy of the number of goods with a weight value of 0.15, prices with a weight value of 0.08, and delivery with a weight value of 0.06.
