Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to increase financial literacy and financial awareness of high school students through the "Smart Money" program held at SMAN 16 Samarinda. The problem behind this activity is that students are still able to manage finances practically, such as preparing a budget, distinguishing needs and wants, and saving in a planned manner. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach with a pre-test and post-test design. The subject of the activity was 60 students who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The implementation of activities is carried out through interactive lectures, discussions, financial management simulations, and digital-based educational games using Kahoot. The instrument used is a financial literacy questionnaire that refers to indicators of financial knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in all student financial literacy indicators. Quantitatively, knowledge scores increased from 58% to 82%, financial attitudes from 60% to 85%, and financial behavior from 55% to 78%. This improvement shows that interactive and experiential learning methods are effective in improving students' financial understanding, awareness, and behavior. Thus, the "Smart Money" program can be used as a model of financial literacy education that is applicable and replicative in an effort to form better financial habits from an early age.
