Abstract

The moral degradation of adolescents is an increasingly worrying phenomenon in the era of globalization and digitalization. Rapid technological developments have both positive and negative impacts on adolescent behavior, such as declining discipline, low respect for teachers and parents, and a lack of awareness of religious practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious character values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to address the moral degradation of adolescents at Nurul Hikmah Junior High School. The method used in this study was a qualitative approach with descriptive research. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of religious character values is carried out through teacher role models, habituation of religious activities, integration of moral values into the learning process, and religious activities such as Quran recitation and congregational prayer. This implementation has a positive impact on student behavior, particularly in improving discipline, responsibility, manners, and awareness of religious practices. Islamic Religious Education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character so they can face the challenges of modern development without abandoning moral and religious values.
