Abstract

This article discusses the comparison of the network of tariqat in Priangan by placing the Qadiriyah Tarekat wa Naqsyabandiyah Suryalaya, the Tijaniyah Al-Falah Biru Garut Tarekat, the Idrisiyah Tasikmalaya Tasikmalaya Tarekat, and the Pamijahan Syattariyah Tarekat as the four main cases. The main problem of this article lies in the tendency of the study of the tariqat that often discusses history, teachings, or figures separately, while the network pattern between the tariqat in the Priangan social space still requires comparative reading. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies, this article analyzes four main indicators, namely spiritual authority, scientific transmission, institutional basis, and social relations with the community. Data are examined from journal articles, theses, and related academic sources that discuss the tariqat as a Sufism organization, TQN Suryalaya, Tijaniyah Garut, Idrisiyah Tasikmalaya, and Syattariyah Pamijahhan. This article finds that TQN Suryalaya shows a strong network of pesantren through mursyid, talqin representatives, educational institutions, media, and social programs. Tijaniyah Al-Falah Biru shows a network based on pesantren, amaliah wirid, and social piety. Idrisiyah shows a modern network pattern through the integration of da'wah, education, economy, media, and congregational empowerment. Syattariyah shows a strong historical network through sanad, the figure of Sheikh Abdul Muhyi, manuscripts, pilgrimages, and local Islamic relationships. The contribution of the article lies in the reading of the network of tarekat as a dynamic social and religious system, not just as an individual spiritual practice.
