<![CDATA[The aim of the research is to provide protection for women in Batumerah Village as victims of cyber-based violence in the perspective of Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The reason for using this method is because this research examines the status of a human group, an object, a condition, and a system of thought. The results or findings of Cyber-Based Violence Against Women in Batumerah Village, from the results of interviews conducted by the author, there were 5 (five) sources that the author asked for information, indicating that acts of violence against them had occurred on social media, namely Facebook, where the perpetrator sent pictures. mixed with pornography. Cyber Based Violence Against Women in Batumerah Village in View of Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, where the author found that there were positive impacts and negative impacts from the existence of the ITE Law, positive impacts such as in article 27 paragraph 1, Article 40 paragraphs 1 and 2, and article 26 paragraph 3 of Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, the provisions of this article contain protection in the form of providing punishment to people who distribute an act that violates morality. Meanwhile, the negative impact is that several articles in Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions, there are articles that are considered to actually oppress victims, such as in article 27 paragraph 3, article 27 paragraph 4 and article 26 paragraph 1. These articles include mention of freedom of opinion, there is a rubber article that criminalizes victims. Keywords: Batu Merah Village Women, Victims of Cyber-Based Violence, and Law no. 19 of 2016 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kekerasan berbasis cyber terhadap perempuan di Desa Batu Merah, Kecamatan Sirimau, Kota Ambon dan untuk menguraikan dampat positif dan dampak negatif keberadaan Undang-Undang No. 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik dalam menangani kekerasan berbasis cyber terhadap perempuan di Desa Batu Merah , Kecamatan Sirimau, Kota Ambon.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil atau temuan Kekerasan Berbasis Cyber Terhadap Perempuan di Desa Batumerah, dari hasil wawancara yang penulis lakukan terdapat 5 (lima) orang narasumber yang penulis meminta keteranganya, menunjukan bahwa tindakan kekerasan terhadap mereka pernah terjadi di media sosial yakni Fecebook, dimana pelaku memposting gambar yang berbau pornogragrafi. Penulis menemukan ada dampak positif dan dampak negative dari kebaradaan Undang-Undang ITE dampak positif seperti pada pasal 27 ayat 1, Pasal 40 ayat 1 dan 2, dan pasal 26 ayat 3 Undang-Undang No. 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik dari ketentuan pasal tersebut memuat perlindungan berupa, memberikan hukuman kepada orang yang medistribusikan suatu perbuatan yang melanggar kesusilaan. Sementara dampak negatinya dimana beberapa pasal dalam Undang-Undang No. 19 Tahun 2016 Tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik terdapat pasal yang dianggap malah menindas korban seperti pada pasal 27 ayat 3, pasal 27 ayat 4 dan pasal 26 ayat 1 pasal tersebut di antaranya menyebutkan pembatasan kebebasan beropini, terdapat pasal karet yang mengkriminalisasi korban. ]]>
