Abstract

The program aimed to implement a learning aid that facilitates collaborative and enjoyable mathematics learning for seventh-grade students at State Junior High School 80 Jakarta. A total of 64 students participated in the program. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Mathematics Education Program of Universitas Kristen Indonesia. The program consisted of three main stages: (1) a preliminary needs assessment through school observations and discussions with the principal and mathematics teachers, (2) the design and development of the Math Thinker instructional media and its accompanying learning module, and (3) the implementation of the instructional media in mathematics classroom activities. The implementation results overall mean score of 3,28 out of 4, indicated that students demonstrated positive responses toward the use of the Math Thinker instructional media. The learning activities successfully promoted collaborative group learning and created an engaging and enjoyable classroom environment. Furthermore, the instructional media optimized the mathematics learning process by encouraging active student participation and enhancing students' enjoyment of learning mathematics.
