Abstract

The development of financial technology has given rise to digital gold investment applications that make it easier for people to invest in gold in varying amounts. However, sharia financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia remain relatively low. Previous studies have also focused mainly on knowledge, risk, and attitude, leaving limited research that examines perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and sharia compliance simultaneously. This study aims to analyze the effect of these three variables on the intention to use digital gold investment applications. A quantitative associative approach was employed. Data were collected through an online Likert-scale questionnaire from 170 prospective users selected by purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that perceived ease of use and sharia compliance have a positive and significant effect on intention to use, whereas perceived usefulness has no significant effect. The three variables explain 54.2% of the variation in intention to use, with sharia compliance having the strongest effect. These findings suggest that application providers should communicate their sharia compliance transparently and simplify the user process for beginners
