Abstract

The application of the deep learning approach within the Merdeka Curriculum is an essential part of improving learning quality. This study aims to analyze the extent of the deep learning approach's influence on enhancing the quality of Christian Religious Education in public and private high schools in Kupang City. The research employed a quantitative method, using questionnaires for data collection and simple regression analysis with SPSS 27 software. The findings indicate that the implementation of the deep learning approach in Christian Religious Education in both public and private high schools in Kupang City is in the 'good' category, as reflected in the application of meaningful, reflective, and contextual learning. The quality of Christian Religious Education is also categorized as 'good,' encompassing integrated cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and spiritual aspects. There is a positive and significant influence of deep learning implementation within the Kurikulum Merdeka on the quality of Christian Religious Education, although its contribution is still considered low.
