Abstract

Using a qualitative case study approach at the LAB Bahasa Prancis Course Institution in Pekalongan Regency, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that teaching practice enables tutors to develop professional knowledge through experience, reflection, conceptualization, and pedagogical experimentation. Reflective, adaptive, communicative, digital, and intercultural competencies are fostered through direct engagement in flexible non-formal learning environments. The process of competency development occurs cyclically in accordance with Kolb’s experiential learning framework. These findings highlight the role of non-formal education as a space for continuous professional learning and the formation of the professional identity of foreign language tutors.
