<![CDATA[Previous studies have shown that Word Square has been used in Arabic language learning, including to support students’ mastery of mufradat (Arabic vocabulary). However, empirical evidence regarding the use of Word Square as a learning medium for mufradat mastery at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, particularly based on a comparison of learning outcomes between experimental and control groups, remains limited. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of Word Square as a learning medium on the mastery of Arabic mufradat among fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 40 students, comprising 20 students in the experimental group and 20 students in the control group, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through written tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests and were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality and homogeneity tests and an Independent Samples t-test, with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The descriptive analysis showed that the mean score of the experimental group increased from 35.00 in the pre-test to 82.20 in the post-test, representing an increase of 47.20 points. Meanwhile, the control group’s mean score increased from 37.20 to 73.80, representing an increase of 36.60 points. The results of the Independent Samples t-test showed a significance value of 0.020 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. These findings provide empirical evidence that the use of Word Square as a learning medium has a significant effect on the mastery of Arabic mufradat among fifth-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah within the context of this study.]]>
