The aim of this research was to find out the effect of learning technique and Locus of Control on students competence in translating from German Text into Indonesian. The research was conducted at the fourth semester on German Study Program in the academic years 2013/2014. It was an eksprimental study with 2 x 2 factorial design. The sample was 40 students. It was divided into two groups, each group experiment consisting of 20 students where 10 students had Internal Locus of Control and 10 others had external Locus of Control. The data was collected by using two kinds of test : Locus of Control test and test of translating from German Text into Indonesian. ANAVA and Tukey test were used to analyse the data. The results of this research concludes that generally Jigsaw learning technique was more effective than STAD learning technique, that is : 18,65 > 17,35. The result of this research also conclude that, the students who have internal Locus of Control when following lectures with STAD learning technique is higher ( 20,2 ) than Jigsaw learning technique ( 17,1 ). On the contrary students with external Locus of Control showing that Jigsaw learning technique (20,2) is better than STAD learning technique ( 14,5 ).The finding that Jigsaw and STAD learning technique can be used in teaching translation, however in choosing the teaching technique studentsâ Locus of Control should be considered.

Abstract. Correlation between Vocabulary Mastery with listening ability in German language Class XI students SMAN 13 Bone. Thesis. Faculty of Languages and Literature. State University of Makassar.This study aims to obtain data and information about the relationship between vocabulary mastery and te ability to listen to German in class XI language at SMA 13 Bone.This research is descriptive research.The population of this study was all studens of class XI Languages totaling one Class with 28 students. The sample of this study was 28 students of class XI language selected through total sampling techniques.Research data was collected through a written test, and analyzed using product moment correlation.The results of this study indicate that there is a significant link between mastery of vocabulary with the listening ability of German language class XI student SMA Negeri 13 Bone Rh = (0.574) >Rt = (0.374) with a significant level of 5%.

This study aims to determine the types of syntactic errors in the essay descriptions of the German language of SMA NEGERI 9 Makassar students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The analytical method used is the method proposed by Ellis. The research data is in the form of descriptive essays written by students. The data source of this research is the students of class XII Mia 8 SMA Negeri 9 Makassar, amounting to 31 students. The data collection technique was carried out through a German writing test. The results of the data analysis show that the syntactic errors that appear are phrase errors, including 4 types of errors in noun phrases, 8 types of errors in pronouns, 7 types of errors in prepositional phrases, 4 types of errors in adjective phrases, and 4 types of verb phrases.Â

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on the relationship between vocabulary mastery and German writing skills of class XI students of MAN 1 Makassar City. The sample in this study were students of class XI MIA 5 MAN 1 Makassar City which consisted of 1 class totaling 30 students. The sampling technique used was random sampling. The data were collected through a vocabulary mastery test and a poetry writing skill test. The research data were analyzed using the Product Moment correlation analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and writing skills in German, this is indicated by the value of rh (0.108) â‰¤ rt (0.361), with N = 30 at the 0.05% significance level.

This research aims to know the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the DAF web-based media learning listening skills for high school students in Makassar City. The design of instructional media uses the Thiagarajan four D (4-D) model of development stages the which consists of four items, namely define, design, develop and develop. Data collection is done through validation of learning tools, observation, student questionnaire responses. The products produced in this study were lesson plans, teaching materials, and LKPD web-based learning daf listening skills. Based on the results of the analysis of the data it was concluded that the learning media for listening to the German language based on web DAF is valid, practical, and effective.

This study aims to determine the relationship between Possessivpronomen mastery with the ability to write simple sentences for class XI students of SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. Data collection in this study was carried out with a written test. Data is analyzed by revealing product moment. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPA, with a total of 252 students. The sample of this study was 30 students of class XI Science 1 who were selected through purposive sampling technique. The results of the analysis through instant Product Moment, obtained the value of rh = (0.632)> rt = (0.361), the results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between Possessivpronomen mastery with the ability to write simple student sentences (r = 0.632).

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan menulis kalimat sederhana siswa melalui model pembelajaran Course Review Horay (CRH). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik penumpulan data dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif, yaitu data yang mendeskripsikan proses hasil belajar yang diperoleh melalui observasi. Sedangkan kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil tes siklus I dan siklus II. Nilai rata-rata hasil tes siswa pada siklus I adalah 4,64 (66,28%) dan pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata – rata siswa 5,97 (85,28%) Hal ini berarti bahwa keterampilan menulis kalimat sederhana bahasa Jerman siswa kelas X Bahasa dan Sastra 2 SMA Negeri 5 Bulukumba menggunakan model pembelajaran Course Review Horay (CRH) mengalami peningkatan

Abstract. This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe student errors in German writing and to propose solutions. The data was collected from the essays of 28 German students from the 2018 class. The results of data analysis showed that student errors in German writing varied, including 1) grammatical/structural errors in German sentences, 2) errors in conjugating German verbs that do not match the subject, 3) errors in word choices, 4) errors in prepositions, and 5) errors in the arrangement of words if there are conjunctions in the sentence. Meanwhile, the suggested solutions to these problems include the use of clustering or associograms while teaching and the development of practice materials for German writing.Keywords: Errors in Writing, German, Solution

The purpose of this study was to know the effectiveness of the Rollenspiel model in increasing student’s speaking German skill. This study used quasy-experiment approach. Data was collected using speaking skill test. The sample in this study was random sampling, namely students of class XI IPA 1 which amounted to 20 students as an experimental class and students of class XI IPA 2 totaling 21 students as a control class. Data were analyzed by using t-Test analysis. The result of data analysis shows that th 4,28> tt 2,023 at significant level of 0.05. The results showed that Rollenspiel learning model is effectively used in the skill of speaking of German.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan metode permainan bisik berantai dalam maharah istima’ siswa kelas VIII MTs Attaufiq Padaelo Kabupaten Barru. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode permainan bisik berantai, sedangkan variabel terikat pada penelitian ini adalah maharah istima’. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Attaufiq Padaelo Kabupaten Barru yang berjumlah 71 orang, adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Attaufiq Padaelo Kabupaten barru sebanyak 48 orang yang terdiri dari kelas VIII 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 24 orang dan kelas VIII 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 24 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik sampel acak (random sampling). Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan pre-test dan post-test tertulis pada materi “Olahraga”. Hasil perhitungan uji-t pada taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh nilai thitung 4,919 ˃ ttabel 2,013. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode permainan bisik berantai efektif dalam maharah istima’ siswa kelas VIII MTs Attaufiq Padaelo Kabupaten Barru.
