Abstract

This study aims to explore how scholarship students develop financial capability and financial resilience through financial learning, digital financial capability, financial behaviour, and adaptation to financial pressures. A qualitative approach with an interpretive phenomenological design is proposed to understand students' lived experiences in managing scholarship assistance and responding to financial challenges. Data are designed to be collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis. The proposed findings indicate that financial assistance should be understood not only as educational support but also as a context in which students learn financial responsibility. Financial capability is developed through practical experiences in budgeting, prioritizing needs, monitoring expenditures, and using digital financial services. Digital financial technology can facilitate transaction monitoring while also creating opportunities for impulsive consumption. Financial resilience is conceptualized as an adaptive process through which students respond to unexpected expenses, limited resources, and economic pressures. The study is expected to contribute to scholarship management by shifting attention from financial assistance alone toward financial empowerment, financial learning, and resilience-building
