Abstract

Private hospitals must reconcile service innovation, operational reliability, and environmental responsibility. This study contributes a capability-conversion perspective by positioning organizational ambidexterity between three organizational conditions and perceived sustainable performance. A cross-sectional questionnaire survey of 105 private-hospital directors and managers in Indonesia was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The reported estimates show positive direct associations of transformational leadership, interpersonal communication, and green organizational culture with sustainable performance and organizational ambidexterity. Ambidexterity also relates positively to performance, with positive reported indirect associations for all three antecedents. These results are consistent with a complementary capability pathway, but the single-source design and incomplete measurement diagnostics restrict causal and organizational-level inference. Hospital managers should coordinate innovation with reliable clinical processes, cross-professional communication, and measurable environmental safeguards.
