Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce Canva Animation Video Learning Media Based on South Tapanuli local Culture on the material of flat-sided solid shapes (cubes and cubaids). This study uses a 4D (four-D)development model, namely Define, Design, Development, Disseminate. The subjects of this study were 25 students of Mardhotillah Islamic Boarding School Clas VIII Tanoponggol. Validity is obtained based on the assessment by the validator. Practicality is obtained bases on the assessment of student responsequastionnaires by respondents. Effectiveness is obtained based on the results of the studebts’ mathematical problem-solving ability test. Thevalidation results of canva animation video learning media based on south Tapanuli local culture have a validity percentage of 94%, with the category “valid”. The results of the practicality test of canva animation video learning media based on local culture obtained a percentage result of 90,12%, with the category “very practical”. The results of the effectiveness test of canva animated video learning media based on south Tapanuli local culture obtained results with a percentage of 85%, with the category “very effective”. The conclusion of the study, canva animated video learning media based on south Tapanuli local culture is said to be valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning and is able to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.
