Abstract

Kegiatan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan, pembentukan tim Code Blue, penyusunan SOP, penguatan sarana kegawatdaruratan, pelatihan Basic Life Support (BLS), dan simulasi full-scale drill. Development of a Code Blue System to Strengthen Medical Emergency Preparedness at the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Malang  Higher education environments with sports activities, practical sessions, and intensive use of physical facilities may face medical emergencies requiring rapid, coordinated, and procedure-based responses. This community service program aimed to develop a Code Blue system at the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Malang (FIK UM) to strengthen medical emergency preparedness. The program consisted of needs identification, establishment of a core Code Blue team, development and validation of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), provision of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), Basic Life Support (BLS) training, and a full-scale drill. A 25-member core team was established, while BLS training involved 50 participants. Knowledge evaluation using pre-test and post-test showed an increase in the mean score from 42.5 to 89.4, representing a 46.9-point descriptive increase. The simulation recorded system activation within 45 seconds, team arrival 2 minutes 15 seconds after activation, and simulated AED analysis at 2 minutes 50 seconds. Knowledge scores were obtained from the training evaluation, whereas response times were obtained from the simulation. The findings indicate that integrating personnel, SOPs, AED facilities, training, and simulation can strengthen initial Code Blue preparedness at FIK UM. Periodic drills, refresher training, and equipment maintenance are needed to sustain system readiness.
