Ibn Rusyd on God and Creationism Sovia, Sheyla Nichlatus

Abstract

Various opinions or atheist ideals are displayed, which assume that the world already exists by itself. As the world is a tirelessly moving machine that has no beginning and no end. That is what has given an assumption that the universe does not have a creator or maintainer so that the term God does not apply in his thoughts and beliefs. This research is library research (Library Research), so that the type of qualitative research. The data source was obtained from Ibn Rusyd?s primary data source, Al-Kasyf? Man?hij al-Adillat fi ?Aqaid al Millat Tahafut at Tahafut and fash al Maqal, the data collection methods used in this study were the deductive, comparative and hermeneutic methods. This research concludes, Ibnu Rusyd proved the existence of God by proposing no propositions, namely the Dalil al Inayah (providence of God), Dalil al-Ikhtira (the proposition of creation), and Dalil al Harakah (the proposition of motion). We witness that everything that has no sense, like for example, natural body, towards the end. The analysis obtained in proving the existence of God by Ibnu Rusyd is acknowledging the existence of God. Their intellect and revelation become the source of knowledge and tools to achieve truth, especially in proving the existence of God. Then his philosophical thought patterns indirectly influenced more by the philosophy of Aristotle. He succeeded in reconciling the world of philosophy with the world of Theology and through his cosmological arguments, has proven the existence of God.Keywords: Ibn Rusyd, Argumentation, God

Abstract

Di dunia Arab-Islam, misalnya sejak abad ke-19 kaum muslimin telah mengalami berbagai persoalan serius sebagai akibat dari hegemoni politik, ekonomi, dan budaya yang ditancapkan bangsa Eropa. Hal itu memaksa kaum muslimin untuk bersandar pada agamadi dalam mengembangkan suatu ideologi perjuangan. Pengalaman sejarah di masa lalu masih saja meninggalkan trauma yang mendalam terhadap umat Islam di berbagaikawasan, bahkan setelah mereka mencapai kemerdekaan. Sebagai akibatnya, merekasering memahami dan menggunakan agama (Islam) sebagai tujuan politik dan ideologi,terutama dalam menolak dan mengembangkan sikap eksklusif mereka terhadap dunia Barat. Selain itu, umat muslim juga masih banyak yang menggunakan Islam sekedar sebagai kekuatan mitologis, sosial, dan historis untuk mencapai tujuan politik tertentu. Jika demikian, dapat dikatakan masih ada umat Islam yang memiliki pandangan bahwa tidaklah penting untuk memikirkan dan menjadikan Islam sebagai agama yang mampu menghadapi tantangan dari masyarakat muslim sendiri.

Abstract

Violence in the name of religion seems to be being carried out by all groups of Indonesian society. Even in some cases, there are strong nuances to amplify the desecration. Religion that is not inclusive with one-sided truth claims still shows its existence which is quite strong among religious people, especially Muslims. They consider their religious understanding to be an undeniable truth, and is considered a definite reflection of the source of religious teachings. This brings religious people to a life where conflicts often occur between fellow human beings, both fellow believers of same religion but different sects, as well as fellow believers of different religions. In addition, understanding this model will make religious people fall into an extreme religious understanding. Religion is understood as dead dogmas and only deals with the problems of the hereafter and divinity so that it does not have the ability to provide pleasant solutions in solving human problems that are manifested in today's life. This article tries to analyze the problems above by using a philosophy of law approach so that the reader is able to see the problem with an objective view without losing common sense. Keywords: Religious Violence, Indonesia, The Philosophy of Law. Abstrak Kekerasan atas nama agama hingga saat ini tampaknya masih terus dilakukan segenap kelompok dari masyarakat Indonesia. Bahkan pada sebagian kasus, ada nuansa kuat untuk menguatkan penodaan tersebut. Keberagamaan yang tidak inklusif dengan klaim kebenaran sepihak masih menampakkan keberadaannya yang cukup kuat di kalangan umat beragama, khususnya umat Islam. Mereka menganggap pemahaman keagamaan yang dianut mereka merupakan kebenaran yang tidak terbantah, serta dianggap pencerminan yang pasti dari sumber ajaran agama. Hal ini membawa umat beragama kepada kehidupan yang sering terjadi konflik antar sesama manusia, baik sesama pemeluk agama yang berbeda aliran, maupun sesama umat yang berbeda agama. Di samping itu, pemahaman model itu akan membuat umat beragama masuk dalam pemahaman keagamaan yang ekstrim. Agama dipahami sebagai dogma-dogma mati dan hanya mengurus masalah akhirat serta ketuhanan sehingga tidak memiliki kemampuan untuk memberikan solusi yang menyenangkan dalam penyelesaian problem kemanusiaan yang terwujud di kehidupan masa kini. Artikel ini mencoba menganalisis permasalahan di atas dengan menggunakan pendekatan filsafat hukum sehingga pembaca mampu melihat permasalahan tersebut dengan pandangan objektif tanpa kehilangan akal sehat. Kata Kunci: Kekerasan Agama, Indonesia, Filsafat Hukum.

Abstract

Abstracts: Every legal fatwa produced by scholars through the process of ijtihad, in the context of the science of ushul fiqh must be in line with the maqashid sharia. Every Islamic law that is formulated is not only for the law itself but the law is formulated with the aim of providing benefits. Therefore, the mujtahids who want to formulate a law must be in line with the maqashid sharia, which not only brings benefits to humanity but must also be able to prevent humanity from harm. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. When looking at the type of data collection method, this research is included in library research. The results of this study indicate that the arguments used as the basis by the MUI in formulating fatwa No. 83 of 2023 concerning the law of support for Palestine are in line with the objectives and contents of the fatwa. This means that the intent and content of the fatwa are formulated using considerations from all aspects that support the Palestinian struggle. The application of maqashid sharia in the context of MUI fatwa No. 83 of 2023 includes comprehensive protection of religion, soul, mind, descendants, and property of Palestinian citizens. This fatwa has a strong basis in maqashid sharia, which assumes that the purpose of sharia is to ensure the security, welfare, and survival of humanity as a whole.Keywords: Maqashid Syari'ah, MUI Fatwa, Support for Palestine. Abstrak : Setiap fatwa hukum yang dihasilkan ulama’ melalui proses ijtihad, dalam konteks ilmu ushul fiqh haruslah sejalan dengan maqashid syari’ah. Setiap hukum islam yang dirumuskan tidak hanya sema-mata untuk hukum sendiri akan tetapi hukum itu dirumuskan haruslah bertujuan untuk memberikan kemaslahatan. Oleh sebab itu para mujtahid yang hendak merumuskan suatu hukum haruslah sejalan dengan maqashid syari’ah, yang mana bukan hanya membawa kemaslahatan bagi umat manusia tetapi juga harus mampu menghindarkan umat manusia dari kemafsadatan. Pendekatan yang diaplikasikan dalam studi ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Ketika melihat dari jenis cara mengambil data, maka penelitian ini masuk pada penelitian pustaka atau library research. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalil yang dijadikan dasar oleh MUI dalam merumuskan fatwa No.83 Tahun 2023 tentang hukum dukungan terhadap Palestina, telah sejalan dilihat dari sisi tujuan dan isi fatwa. Hal ini berarti bahwa maksud dan isi fatwa tersebut dirumuskan dengan menggunakan pertimbangan dari seluruh aspek yang mendukung perjuangan Palestina. Penerapan maqashid syariah dalam konteks fatwa MUI No. 83 Tahun 2023 mencakup perlindungan yang menyeluruh terhadap agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, dan harta warga Palestina. Fatwa ini memiliki landasan kuat dalam maqashid syariah, yang menganggap bahwa tujuan syariah adalah memastikan keamanan, kesejahteraan, dan keberlangsungan hidup manusia secara menyeluruh.Kata kunci: Restoratif Justice,  Tindak Pidana Anak.
