Abstract

This research aims to explain the impact of cooperation by the Indonesian wooden furniture industry exports to the Algeria in 2014-2016. Algeria has routinely imported wooden furniture from Malaysia to supply their needs in domestic furniture. In fact, Algerian entrepeneurs know furniture from Malaysia mostly come from Indonesia. One of the factors because there is no agreement from Indonesia and Algeria to cooperate in the industrial sector especially the furniture industry sector. The theories used in this research is interdependence theory and comparative advantage thery. The author used liberalism approach. Data of this research was obtained from books, journals, articles, official document and websites that support the hyphotesis. The result of this study indicate that after the agreement, the dollar exchange rate at that time also affected the amount of wooden furniture exports. If the dollar is more expensive, then the interest of furniture buyers come down because of the buyers want the same price as before the dollar increase. Apart from the amount of wooden furniture exports, the number of workers and the number of furniture industrial also affected. Keywords: Wooden Furniture, Exports, Dollar Exchange

Abstract

This study discusses the performance comparison of three numerical approaches, namely the Shooting method, the Finite Difference Method (FDM), and the Collocation method, in solving Boundary Value Problems (BVP) for three categories of problems: linear non-stiff, linear stiff, and non-linear. Each type of problem is tested with two types of boundary conditions, namely Dirichlet and Neumann. The evaluation is based on two main criteria: accuracy, measured using error norms with respect to the exact solution, and computational efficiency, quantified in terms of CPU execution time. The results show that in the non-stiff case with Dirichlet boundary conditions, the Shooting methods based on LSODA and RK5 provide very high accuracy with good efficiency, while the Finite Difference Method excels in efficiency but is slightly inferior in accuracy. Under Neumann boundary conditions, the Finite Difference Method tends to be less accurate, whereas the Collocation method delivers very good accuracy but with relatively lower efficiency. For stiff problems, the Shooting method maintains high accuracy, while the Finite Difference and Collocation methods show varying performance depending on the type of boundary condition. In the non-linear case, the Shooting method becomes the most accurate option, although with slightly lower efficiency compared to the Finite Difference Method. These findings provide practical guidance in selecting appropriate numerical methods for BVPs based on problem characteristics and boundary conditions.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Language serves as a fundamental tool for expressing ideas and emotions in daily life. With the progression of globalization and technological innovation, code-mixing has become increasingly prevalent, particularly among Generation Z. This study aims to examine the influence of code-mixing on the daily communication expressions of Generation Z. A qualitative research method was applied, utilizing content analysis based on questionnaire data collected from young respondents. The results revealed that many Generation Z individuals actively incorporate code-mixing into their oral and written communication, especially through social media platforms. In formal settings such as presentations and seminars, some respondents indicated a tendency to use code-mixing, while others preferred maintaining linguistic formality. Several participants viewed code-mixing as an important means of expressing themselves more flexibly, whereas others considered it unnecessary in everyday communication. These findings suggest that code-mixing has become an integral part of Generation Z’s linguistic identity, though there remains an awareness of the need to uphold linguistic politeness and preserve the national language. This study emphasizes the importance of balancing global adaptation with the preservation of local cultural values in language use.
