Abstract

This research examines three teaching methods in Islamic education for a better understanding of effective learning methods. The focus is on Surah An-Nahl, verse 125, and the interpretation of Al-Misbah. Data was obtained through content analysis related to teaching methods and the interpretation of verse 125. The researcher used secondary sources of information such as books and relevant articles. Data analysis was conducted using Tafsir Ijmal to understand the essence of the Quran as a clear guide for life. The method of hikmah emphasizes fundamental understanding through knowledge and righteous actions. The method of mau'izhah requires support from experience and role modeling, but it should be avoided if incomplete. The method of jidal introduces knowledge and stimulates students' interest through variation and evaluation. Its implementation should allow for critical thinking. The verse expresses three approaches in Quranic education: hikmah, mau'izhah hasanah, and jidal. Their application requires deep knowledge, good morals, the use of appropriate words, and a proportional attitude. Education with gentle words is more effective in fostering peace.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze how the Quran influenced a number of figures or scientists who later changed their beliefs or beliefs, as well as trace the background of their lives that contributed to the change in outlook on life. This phenomenon is especially observed through the study of figures who have embraced Islam after studying the Quran, as recorded in the Converts rubric in the Republika Newspaper. The research methodology uses a socio-religious phenomenon approach with a focus on the critical interpretation of hermeneutics towards the lives of converts. The selected figures will be analyzed based on their life background, religious experience before embracing Islam, and how the Quran had a significant impact on their conversion. The results showed that the Quran has a tremendous influence on human life, both psychologically, intellectually, and socio-culturally. The beauty of the language of the Qur'an, its miracles, and satisfactory answers to life's problems are the main factors that stir the hearts of converts. Some characters choose Islam because of inner conflicts, questions related to religion, conflicts in family life, or because of shock at the reality of Muslims that do not conform to initial prejudices. The benefits of this research include strengthening the arguments of the mufassir regarding the miracles of the Quran, providing stronger motivation for Muslims to explore the study of the Quran, and presenting valuable lessons for Muslims regarding the closeness of the Quran to the human heart and life. This research is expected to provide deeper insight into how the Quran can be a driver of changes in people's beliefs and outlook on life.

This study aims to analyse: 1) children's education material in the Koran surah Luqman verses 12-19 and 2) the relevance of children's education material in the Koran surah Luqman verses 12-19 to current education. The research approach used in this research is qualitative research. This research concerns the concept of children's education in the Qur'an, so the approach used is the approach of education and the science of interpretation through the verses of the Qur'an. This research focuses on the Al-Qur'an surah Luqman, verses 12-19. The results of the research show that: 1) The educational material contained in the Koran, especially in Surah Luqman verses 12-19, basically includes three very fundamental things, namely: (a) education in aqidah/monotheism, namely not associating partners with Allah SWT and teaching that every action will be rewarded by Allah SWT. (b) sharia/worship education, namely the command to establish prayer and gratitude for the blessings of Allah SWT (c) moral education, namely serving parents, educating children not to be arrogant, and educating children to be civilised. 2) The relevance of Children's Education Materials in Al-Qur'an Surah Luqman Verses 12-19 to Current Education can be seen in the method of learning monotheism from an early age, by getting used to hearing the creed, teaching worship (such as prayer) ordered by religion by inviting children to do it, showering children with affection and teaching them to love others and the natural surroundings, and teaching children to serve their parents and respect their elders in words and deeds.

Abstract

General Background: The Qur’an serves as the primary guide for Muslims, requiring proper recitation in accordance with tajweed rules to preserve accuracy and meaning. Specific Background: In many non-formal Islamic education settings, such as taklim councils, mothers often possess basic Qur’anic literacy but lack proficiency in tajweed, with some remaining hijaiyah illiterate. Knowledge Gap: Limited research examines structured tahsin learning practices for adult women in rural Indonesian communities, particularly in non-formal institutions. Aims: This study investigates the implementation, methods, facilities, and challenges of tahsin Al-Qur’an learning at the Al-Hidayah Taklim Council, Punggulan Village. Results: Using qualitative descriptive methods with interviews, observations, and documentation, findings reveal that tahsin classes—held twice weekly—significantly improve participants’ reading fluency, letter recognition, and tajweed application through tailored methods (Iqra’ for beginners, Qiroati for advanced learners). Novelty: The research highlights adaptive instructional strategies in a non-formal, community-based female learning group, integrating individualized approaches within a collective setting to address diverse abilities and age-related challenges. Implications: The findings emphasize the potential of localized tahsin programs to strengthen Qur’anic literacy among women, thereby enhancing religious practice and intergenerational transmission of correct recitation skills. Highlights: Improves mothers’ Qur’anic reading and tajweed skills. Uses adaptive methods for diverse learner abilities. Strengthens community-based religious education. Keywords: Tahsin Al-Qur'an, Tajweed Learning, Taklim Council, Qur'anic Literacy, Non-Formal Education
