Abstrak Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan pada SDN Putat Jaya 2 Surabaya ditemukan kendala dalam pembelajaran IPS yang kurang optimal pada kelas IV. Dengan itu peneliti memberikan alternatif untuk menanggulangi masalah tersebut dengan menerapkan model quantum teaching yang mendorong keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa untuk belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa selama pembelajaran serta mendeskripskan peningkatan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek dan lokasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Putat Jaya 2 Surabaya dengan jumlah 37 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu pada aktivitas guru Siklus 1 75%, Siklus 2 87,5%, aktivitas siswa pada Siklus 1 70,83%, Siklus 2 83,3%. Dan hasil belajar ranah pengetahuan Siklus 1 73%, Siklus 2 89,18%, ranah sikap Siklus 1 70,27%, Siklus 2 83,78%, dan pada ranah keterampilan Siklus 1 64,86%, Siklus 2 81,08%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model quantum teaching dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa serta hasil belajar. Kata Kunci: IPS, Model Quantum Teaching, Hasil Belajar. Abstract Based on the preface study in SDN Putat Jaya 2 Surabaya, it is found that there is obstacle in IPS (social) study in grade IV. To handle that problem, the researcher implements new mode of study, quantum teaching, as an alternative which pushes students? involvement and increases students? motivation in learning. The goal of this study is to describe teacher and students? activity during learning process and the raising result of learning. Research method of this study is collaborative action class. The subject and location of this research are the fourth grade students of SDN Putat Jaya 2 Surabaya with the total number of 37 students. Data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results are; teacher?s activity in cycle 1 is 75% and in cycle 2 is 87.5%, students? activity is cycle 1 is 70.83% and in cycle 2 is 83.3%. Results of learning in knowledge; cycle 1 is 73% and cycle 2 is 89.19%, in attitude; cycle 1 is 70.27% and cycle 2 is 83.78% , and in skill; cycle 1 is 64.86% and cycle 2 81.08%. From that results, it can be concluded that quantum teaching mode can increase teacher and students? activity and also increase the result of learning.
