Abstract

The results of the identification that have been performed on the Children with special needs become the basis for follow-up service delivery. Assessment is a follow-up of identification activities, both of which are a series of inseparable and interrelated processes. Assessment of Children with Special Needs is a systematic or regular and comprehensive process or a whole in exploring further problems to find out what problems, barriers, advantages and individual needs. In the assessment process, an assessment of the three most basic things in Children with Special Needs is the child's deficiency or disability, the surplus or potential of the child and the needs of the child. Abstract

Bimbingan dan konseling merupakan proses bantuan psikologis dan kemanusiaan secara ilmiah serta professional yang diberikan oleh pembimbing/ konselor secara optimal, yaitu mampu memahami diri dan mengaktualisasikan diri, sesuai tahap perkembangan, sifat-sifat potensi yang dimiliki dan latar belakang kehidupan serta lingkungannya. Bimbingan konseling memberikan pelayanan kepada semua kliennya tanpa memandang latar belakang kliennya terkait dengan siapa dan bagaimana keadaan kliennya. Anak berkebutuhan khusus adalah anak yang memiliki kebutuhan khusus sesuai dengan kriteria kecacatannya. Anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan individu yang berbeda dari anak normal pada umumnya, baik secara intelektual, fisik, emosi dan sosial. Mereka, memiliki beragam masalah terkait dengan kecacatan yang dimilikinya. Bimbingan konseling dalam pelaksanaan di sekolah khususnya di TKLB yang menangani peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus sangat diperlukan keberadaanya. Untuk membantu menangani permasalahan ABK yang jauh lebih kompleks dibandingkan dengan masalah anak normal pada umumnya. Namun sayangnya, penulis melihat praktek pelaksanaan Bimbingan dan konseling di salah satu TKLB di Sidoarjo Jawa Timur yaitu TKLB BC Al Azhar Sidoarjo masih belum melaksanakan bimbingan konseling dengan baik. Pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling di TKLB ini dilaksanakan oleh guru dan kepala sekolahnya. Belum ada konselor yang menangani permasalahan ABK tersebut. Pihak sekolahlah yang berperan dalam penyeselesaian masalah siswa. Kata kunci : Bimbingan Konseling

Abstract

Children with special needs are children with disabilities or physical, mental, intellectual, social, or emotional barriers, such as: children with autism, deaf, blind, mental retradation, physical disability and others can have a significant effect on the process of growth or development compared to other children of his age. The problem of children with special needs is a problem that is quite complex in quantity and quality. This condition if not handled properly, the development of the child's ability to experience obstacles and the burden of parents, family, community and country.The purpose of handling done by all experts will have a positive impact for children with special needs. In various aspects such as in the field of academics able to follow the subjects well, in the social field of children able to socialize with the community and in the field of emotion children can channel emotions into positive things. Parents or families as primary service providers to children with special needs, generally still lack the awareness and responsibility to provide equal rights and opportunities for the children. This is because the lack of knowledge of parents or families about how to care for, educate, nurture and meet the needs of these children. Parents or families are the most important factor in facilitating the growth and protection of children with special needs

Abstract

Universitas PGRI Adibuana Surabaya (Unipa Surabaya) merupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi yang menjalankan amanat UU Nomor 8 Tahun 2016 pasal 10 ayat a tentang hak penyandang disabilitas untuk mendapat pendidikan di jenjang perguruan tinggi. Konsekuensinya, Unipa Surabaya berusaha memberikan pelayanan baik akademik dan non akademik kepada mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus, termasuk di Prodi Pendidikan Khusus terdapat 2 mahasiswa dengan gangguan penglihatan dan 1 mahasiswa dengan gangguan fisik (handfoot). Pemberian layanan tersebut, dicerminkan dalam pembelajaran pada mata kuliah media pembelajaran ABK dengan menerapkan cooperative learning model. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kulaitatif deskripstif, dimana peneliti berusaha mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan cooperative learning model dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah media pembelajaran ABK. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan cooperative learning modeldapat berjalan dengan baik, terbukti mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus terlibat secara aktif dalam pembelajaran, selain itu teman sebaya juga turut membantu mereka selama pembelajaran berlangsung.
