Abstract

Hypertension is a health problem that is quite dangerous throughout the world, because hypertension is a disease that occurs due to problems that often arise from changes in a person's lifestyle or eating patterns, such as consuming foods that are high in salt, high in calories, high in fat, low in fiber, high in stress. experienced, obesity, smoking habits, not consuming enough fruit, lack of physical activity and drinking alcohol will trigger the emergence of hypertension. The aim of the research is to describe the life style of hypertension sufferers at the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, Jambi City. This research is a descriptive research study that was conducted at the Olak Kemang Community Health Center, Jambi City from September 2023 to August 2024. Samples were taken using accidental sampling, the sample size was 95 respondents. Data collection using questionnaires. Research results: Good Lifestyle Description of 56 Respondents. In conclusion, the results of this research can be used to improve the quality of nursing staff services in increasing knowledge of the lifestyle of hypertension sufferers to the public using various media such as social media leaflets

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is the sudden loss of heart function in someone who may or may not have been diagnosed with heart disease. Cardiac arrest occurs when the heart's electrical system malfunctions. Cardiac arrest death occurs when the heart suddenly stops working with a large amount. The success of cardiopulmonary resuscitation depends on prompt initial assessment, immediate and effective CPR and rapid defibrillation may be necessary if it is rhythmic. The presence of competent rescuers during life-threatening emergencies increases the chances of survival of the victim. Not only health care workers, but lay people, including high school students, are expected to be trained in basic life support (BLS) which is a simple but very effective maneuver because they may face a cardiac arrest situation at any time. Specific target activities This service involves the guidance and counseling teachers and student council at SMAN 13 Jambi City. Which will be carried out from March to August 2023. The training is expected to: Be able to understand the material about BLS, Increase knowledge between before and after being given the training, be able to practice BLS correctly, be able to apply basic life support in providing pre-hospital assistance, be able to disseminate relevant information has been given to those closest to you. Series of activities: Time of activity from 10 March 2023 to 01 August 2023, ongoing training on 18 July 2023. Place at SMAN 13 Jambi City for 25 students. The results obtained by students participating in PKM activities, activity participants were able to understand the material well, activity participants were able to simulate the material correctly, activity participants were able to answer correctly questions related to material evaluation

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in hypertension sufferers is that they tend to be unstable due to lack of attention to lifestyle and irregular medication. Management of ways to prevent and treat hypertension is carried out using pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Pharmacological treatment can reduce high blood pressure, but this treatment also has side effects if consumed for a long time, such as headaches, weakness, dizziness, liver dysfunction, heart palpitations and nausea. Management of hypertension or non-pharmacological treatment that is cheap and easy, can be done independently, is warm water foot soak hydrotherapy because warm water has an impact and physiological factors on the body, especially on the blood vessels, where warm water can make blood circulation smooth because warm water will encourage blood flow from the legs to the chest cavity and the blood will accumulate (gather) in the large blood vessels of the heart. This therapy has a temperature of around 38°C which can reduce blood pressure if this therapy is done regularly. Series of activities: 03 October 2023 to 05 March 2024, place at Olak Kemang Health Center, Jambi City for 30 participants. The results obtained by participants participating in activities were: Activity participants were able to understand the material properly, Activity participants were able to simulate the material correctly, Activity participants were able to answer correctly questions related to material evaluation.

Abstract

Laparotomy is a major surgical procedure, which involves incisions in the layers of the abdominal wall to obtain parts of the abdominal organs that are experiencing problems such as hemorrhage, perforation, cancer and obstruction. This research is a quantitative study conducted to determine the relationship between anxiety levels and pain intensity with the sleep quality of post-laparotomy patients in the inpatient room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital. The research design in this study is Cross Sectional. This research was conducted on December 5 2022 to January 5 2023 with a population of 144 with a sample of 30 respondents. The data collection method was carried out by filling out a questionnaire and univariate and bivariate analysis methods using the Chi-Square test. The results of the description of anxiety were 16 people (53.3%), the description of mild pain intensity was 15 people (50%), the Chi-Square test results obtained p value = 0.008 < (0.05), meaning there was There is a relationship between the level of anxiety and the sleep quality of patients after Laparotomy surgery in the Inpatient Room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital and the results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p value = 0.006 < (0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between pain intensity and sleep quality for patients after Laparotomy surgery. In the Inpatient Room at Nurdin Hamzah Regional Hospital, it is hoped that this research can provide a basis for knowledge regarding anxiety levels and sleep quality in patients after laparotomy surgery.

Abstract

Total bed rest for a long time can make the patient experience a decline in medical conditions. Bed rest is a risk factor for infection, contractures, decubitus ulcers, and blood clots. Stating that after 2 weeks of bed rest, there can be a loss of muscle mass of 5% -9% and a decrease in muscle strength of up to 20% -27%. Bed rest patients experience many negative effects including neuromuscular dysfunction, thromboembolism, atelectasis, pressure sores, and decreased limb function. Ewens. The aim of this research is to find out the description of nurses' knowledge about progressive mobilization in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Nurdin Hamzah Muaro Sabak Hospital. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were 23 ICU nurses at Nurdin Hamzah Hospital, using a total sampling technique with a sample of 23 respondents. Data obtained using a questionnaire. The statistical test used is the Chi-square test. The results of the study were 23 respondents with the highest knowledge being 19 respondents (82.6%). So it can be concluded that the respondents in this study had more high knowledge than those with low knowledge.

Abstract

Initial disaster management requires efforts to empower the community to reduce the negative impacts of disasters. The desire to become a volunteer is still low because they do not have adequate knowledge about being prepared to become a disaster volunteer. The process of considering becoming a volunteer is not easy because it involves a cognitive process in decision making. An individual's readiness to become a disaster volunteer is demonstrated by the knowledge, skills and abilities obtained through the education and learning process. Preparedness in facing floods helps communities form and plan actions that need to be taken when there is a flood. From the survey results, there is a lack of public understanding about flood disaster management, the absence of a Flood Disaster Management Task Force Team and a lack of public understanding about the health impacts of flooding such as diarrhea, dengue fever, skin diseases, leptospirosis and triggering Extraordinary Conditions of diseases. spread in Legok Village, Jambi City. The specific target of this service activity is to involve community organizations/mass organizations, Legok Village, Jambi City. This Disaster Management is expected to: Be able to understand material about education about flood disaster management, the formation of a flood disaster task force team and education about the health impacts of flooding on health such as diarrhea, dengue fever, skin diseases, leptospirosis, ISPA, as well as triggering Extraordinary Circumstances infectious diseases. The activity period is October 2022 to January 2023, the location is RT 08, Legok Village, Jambi City, for 15 people. The results obtained by the community from participating in activities, activity participants were able to understand the material properly, activity participants were able to simulate the material correctly, activity participants were able to answer correctly questions related to material evaluation and the formation of a flood disaster task force team in RT 08, Legok Kota sub-district Jambi
