Abstract

This study was conducted against of an alarming social phenomenon intolerant of differences, includes: the actions and words that, information on social media and various counter-productive behaviors. Almost in all aspects of life, the attitude of intolerance from one another appears, on the highway - the road user grabs the bow, in the place of the crowd in social action, up to the meeting room is shown to be unprepared to be different from one others. In short, it is not tolerant of pluralism. This concern, triggered the need to be redefined about the implementation of the teachings of goodness (characters building), especially for students. Various efforts have been made to define good behavior through education, including a national seminar on moral literacy in human development through education and movement on literacy formation.Research on elementary school teachers, school principals, and school supervisors in four sub-districts in Badung regency, the method for obtaining data is through questionnaires, focus group discussions, and observations to elementary schools. The tendency to decrease the intensity of School Literacy Movement (SLM) implementation Hinduism for the habituation, development, and learning stages, both information from the Teacher (T), School Principle (SP) and School Supervisor (SS). Implementing SLM Hinduism include: reading 15 minutes at the beginning of learning, discussing books and reading together, and reading the lesson enrichment part. Programs that still need to be improved include: reading Hinduism books are relatively lacking due to difficulties in obtaining books on Hinduism and making info-graphic from reading as an effort to facilitate the building of the meaning of Hinduism reading.As a conclusion, SLM Hinduism by Elementary Schools in Badung Regency, well implemented tends to be very good, reaching 3.6 for scale 4. The decrease occurred from the habituation stage (3.7), development (3.6), to the learning stage (3.5). This shows that SLM Hinduism implementation has not been optimally, especially at the learning stage. Implementation of habituation stage, ?the movement of reading 15 minutes of non-lesson books before the lesson?. The implementation of the learning stage that has not been achieved is about ?choosing enrichment books and Hinduism material and using Hinduism facilities as well as enrichment books to creatively write opinions based on reading material synthesized with other relevant disciplines as one facet literate in the Hinduism?.

Abstract

Mastery of Science and Technology is one of the components to be achieved national education. Badung district government gives free laptop as much as 8,636 laptops for the students of elementary school. This free laptop distribution is borrowing to students to prepare human resources that not only the function as recipients of information flow but also equip themselves with information and technology management capabilities in order to be able to manage, adjust and develop what they receive through the development of these technologies. Looking at the conditions of technology mastery (laptop) as the access of information is not enough controlled by the teacher as an educator and employee as an educational staff but also learners (students).

Abstract

Character education is a foundation of a nation that needs to be invested early on to children. Children grow and flourish in a life that is colored by violation of the rights of others to violence, coercion, ignorance, confusion between right and wrong, good and bad, behavior may and may not be done. The inculcation of character education values should start early in the home, community, and school. Character education is expected to make students skilled, knowledgeable, and morals. Students are expected not only to have intellectual ability, more than tuition is also expected to have good character. Good intellectual ability must be balanced with good character education as well. The tale will provide a place for children to learn various emotions and feelings as well as learn the values of the characters.

Abstract

Restoring the quality of the education cannot be separated from the role of the educators. The quality here refers to the attitudes, values, norms, and system that are shared within the institution to produce quality graduates. The educators are to create the conducive atmosphere at schools, which requires competence in class managemenet. The Hindu classes teach the students to be active in order to meet the standard quality of the education therefore reach the vision and fulfill mission of the institution.

Abstract

Higher education institutions should adapt the development of science and technology in order to meet the society demand along the ages. They are expected to produce human resources with academic and leadership capability and ethics who are also adaptive to the technological development. In order to achieve that, the instituations are required to carry out quality research and social service programs that can improve the societies. The programs should be based on science and the implementation of the education and research with clear targets. However, in practice, the social service programs are often irrelevant to the society needs as well as to the fields of the lecturers and students involved in the programs. This proves the gap between the ideal and the real condition of the Indonesian higher education quality. The situation is influenced by several factors, including the poor management, economics, and social realities. In order to overcome them, a comprehensive program for developing the profesionalism of the lecturers is needed in which the government, the instituation, and the society are all involved. The Minister of Education and Culture Affair Regulation No 49/2014 regulates the standard for the social service, which is an important part of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. According to it, the program should be organized by the Social Service Board with its principles for institutionalism, education, cooperation, sustainability, social empowerment, and regional development.

Abstract

Sekolah adalah salah satu tempat yang konsisten memberikan pendidikan kepada siswanya baik itu pendidikan pada sikap keagamaan, sikap sosial, intelektual serta keterampilannya. Siswa sebagai generasi muda sebagai penerima ilmu pengetahuan dari berbagai pihak harus memiliki disiplin guru bhakti. Terdapat empat unsur yang sangat penting dalam pendidikan disebut Catur Guru yang  terdiri dari Guru Rupaka, Guru Pengajian, Guru Wisesa, dan Guru Swadhyaya.

Abstract

Pendidikan masa awal kanak-kanak ditantang untuk memperkenalkan anak-anak kepada dunia untuk masa depan mereka, suatu dunia yang akan terus meningkat menjadi multikultural dan banyak suku. Metode dongeng adalah salah satu alat yang kuat untuk meningkatkan suatu pemahaman diri dan orang lainKekuatan utama dari strategi dongeng adalah menghubungkan rangsangan melalui penggambaran karakter. Dongeng memiliki potensi untuk memperkuat imajinasi, memanusiakan individu, meningkatkan empeti dan pemahaman, memperkuat nilai dan etika, serta merangsang proses pemikiran kritis dan kreatif. Mendongeng dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembentukan karakter pada anak usia dini. Dengan mendongeng akan memberikan pengalaman belajar bagi anak usia dini. Metode mendongeng dapat memberikan sejumlah pengalaman yang dibutuhkan dalam perkembangan kejiwaan anak. Dengan dongeng akan memberikan wadah bagi anak untuk belajar berbagai emosi dan perasaan serta belajar nilai-nilai karakter. Anak akan belajar pada pengalaman-pengalaman sang tokoh dalam dongeng, setelah itu memilah mana yang dapat dijadikan panutan olehnya sehingga membentuknya menjadi sebuah karakter yang baik.TK Dharma praja merupakan salah satu TK yang masih menggunakan dongeng sebagai salah satu metode pembelajarannya. Walaupun TK ini berada di Kota Denpasar. Kota Denpasar merupakan kota yang dihuni oleh masyarakat multi etnis dan agama, akan tetapi para guru di TK ini tetap mempertahankan tradisi dongeng ini sebagai upaya dalam pembentukan karakter anak.
