Abstract

This research aims to see the empowerment process of role of the family through Waste Bank media to develop character of environmental awareness in elementary school-age children. The qualitative descriptive research methodology is used. The result of this research shows that the empowerment of role of the family in developing character of environmental awareness in elementary school-age children in State Elementary School 1 Padangsambian is determined by the role of waste bank media through intervention of school to students' parents. The initial stage of intervention activity is performed with parenting activity in school with the theme of environmental awareness. Furthermore, all forms of activities or moral actions of environmental awareness are guided by Waste Bank community. The family becomes active in the environmental awareness activity and the control process is implemented together by school and Waste Bank community.

Abstract

This article aims to illustrate the application of traditional snake ladder games in the learning process to preserve local cultural wisdom. This is motivated by the phenomenon of current student activity changes, which more often play modern games that are identical with the use of technology such as video games and online games. As a result, the traditional student games are beginning to be forgotten and become alien among the students. In addition, the level of addiction to the modern game on the students is also high so it affects the habits and behavior of students. As a cultural heritage containing noble values, the traditional game should be preserved And maintained its existence by introducing traditional games through the process of learning in the classroom. One of the traditional games that can be applied in the process of learning in the classroom is a snake ladder game. In this article the method used is the method of observation. Based on the observation results obtained that the traditional games can stimulate students in developing cooperation in groups in the learning process, , Interact as positively, can condition students in self-control, develop empathy for friends, obey the rules, and appreciate others. Thus, it is understood that traditional games can have an excellent impact in helping to develop students' emotional and social skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of scientific approach towards science learning outcomes with covariable of initial ability on fifth-grade students of public elementary schools in Cluster VII South Kuta. The design of the study was Single Factor Independent Group Design with Use of Covariate. The sample in this study was 86 students, determined by using a random sampling technique. Data obtained were processed by using one-way analysis of covariance (ANACOVA). The results show that: 1) there is a difference in science learning outcomes between students who follow learning using a scientific approach and those who follow the conventional learning model. Science learning outcomes of students who follow learning using scientific approach is higher than science learning outcomes of those who follow the conventional learning model; 2) after controlling the covariable of initial ability, there is a difference in science learning outcomes between students who follow learning using scientific approach and those who follow the conventional learning model; (3) there is a contribution of initial ability to science learning outcomes, in which the contribution percentage of initial ability of students who follow learning using scientific approach is 67.2%, whereas contribution percentage of initial ability of students who follow the conventional learning model is 46.7%.

Abstract

Dolanan merupakan satu permainan tradisional yang diadopsi dari keadaan kehidupan lingkungan sosial kehidupan anak – anak di daerah pedesaan. Dalam Permainan dolanan ada banyak nilai yang dapat dipelajari. Selain itu permainan dolanan ini juga dapat diadopsikan ke dalam sistim pembelajaran yang berbasis budaya, khususnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Bali. Dari latar belakang tersebut ada beberapa permasalahan yaitu keberadaan Dolanan di era globalisasi dan peran Dolanan sebagai media pendidikan karakter. Dolanan anak tradisional yang hampir punah diperlukan upaya revitalisasi untuk melestarikan berbagai dolanan anak tersebut , seperti pengenalan ulang berbagai jenis dolanan di sekolah melalui media yang menarik. Selain dengan cara itu festival atau lomba dolanan juga perlu diadakan untuk melestarikan dolanan tradisional. Selain untuk melestarikan budaya dolanan tradisional festival atau lomba dolanan tradisional juga bisa. Hilangnya dolanan anak tradisional akan membawa berbagai dampak, terutama terhadap unsur budaya lokal yang sudah ada terlebih dahulu. Dalam hal ini salah satu upaya nyata untuk dapat melestarikan permainan dolanan ini adalah melalui sanggar – sanggar seni. Keberadaan Sanggar Seni Dolanan Anak saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan dolanan anak tradisional. Dolanan ini bisa dikategorikan dalam tiga golongan, yaitu : permainan untuk bermain (rekreatif), permainan untuk bertanding (kompetitif) dan permainan yang bersifat edukatif. Permainan tradisional yang bersifat rekreatif pada umumnya dilakukan untuk mengisi waktu luang. Permainan tradisional yang bersifat kompetitif, memiliki ciri-ciri : terorganisir, bersifat kompetitif, diainkan oleh paling sedikit 2 orang, mempunyai criteria yang menentukan siapa yang menang dan yang kalah, serta mempunyai peraturan yang diterima bersama oleh pesertanya. Sedangkan perainan tradisional yag bersifat edukatif, terdapat unsur-unsur pendidikan di dalamnya. Melalui permainan seperti ini anak-anak diperkenalkan dengan berbagai macam ketrampilan dan kecakapan yang nantinya akan mereka perlukan dalam menghadapi kehidupan sebagai anggota masyarakat. Berbagai jenis dan bentuk permainan pasti terkandung unsur pendidikannya. Inilah salah satu bentuk pendidikan yang bersifat non-formal di dalam masyarakat. Permainan jenis ini menjadi alat sosialisasi untuk anak-anak agar mereka dapat menyesuaikan diri sebagai anggota kelompok sosialnya.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional yang semakin hari semakin hilang di telan perkembangan jaman, sesungguhnya menyimpan sebuah keunikan, kesenian dan manfaat yang lebih besar seperti kerja sama tim, olahraga, terkadang juga membantu meningkatkan daya otak. Berbeda dengan permainan anak jaman sekarang yang hanya duduk diam memainkan permainan dalam layar monitor dan sebagainya.Secara tidak langsung anak-anak akan dirangsang kreatifitas, ketangkasan, jiwa kepemimpinan, kecerdasan, dan keluasan wawasannya melalui permainan tradisional. Namun sayangnya seiring kemajuan jaman, permainan yang bermanfaat bagi anak ini mulai ditinggalkan bahkan dilupakan.Anak-anak terlena oleh televisi dan video game yang ternyata banyak memberi dampak negatif bagi anak-anak, baik dari segi kesehatan, psikologis maupun penurunan konsentrasi dan semangat belajar.Menguatnya arus globalisasi di Indonesia yang membawa pola kehidupan dan hiburan baru, mau tidak mau, memberikan dampak tertentu terhadap kehidupan sosial budaya masyarakat. Termasuk di dalamnya berbagai macam permainan tradisional anak.

Abstract

Parents always want their children to grow into smart children, for that parents make various efforts to realize the desire, such as adding hours to learn children, also choose the best school according to parents. In fact, not all of these efforts have achieved maximum results, there are still children who experience slow learning, lack of fighting power, no discipline to run their daily activities, and so forth. It is important to obtain a child’s readiness profile, one of which is by screening methods. In this research we will describe a screening method that takes one of the asanas yoga movements namely the namaskar solar movement. This movement involves aspects of basic observations in children, including balance, knee strength, and neck as an indicator of the form of motion control, emotion and communication of children.Keywords: Yoga Asanas, Surya Namaskar, Screening, Early Childhood EducationAbstrakOrang tua senantiasa ingin agar anaknya tumbuh menjadi anak yang cerdas, untuk itu orangtua melakukan berbagai upaya untuk mewujudkan keinginan tersebut, seperti menambah jam belajar anak, juga memilihkan sekolah yang terbaik menurut orang tua. Faktanya tidak semua usaha tersebut memperoleh hasil yang maksimal, masih terdapat anak yang mengalami lambat belajar, kurang memiliki daya juang, tidak disiplin menjalankan aktivitas harian mereka, dan sebagainya. Penting sekali memperoleh profil kesiapan belajar anak, salah satunya dengan melakukan metode penapisan. Pada penelitian ini akan diuraikan sebuah metode penapisan yang mengambil salah satu gerakan yoga asanas yakni gerakan surya namaskar. Gerakan ini melibatkan aspek-aspek observasi mendasar pada anak, meliputi keseimbangan, kekuatan lutut, serta leher sebagai indicator bentuk kendali gerak, emosi dan komunikasi anak. Abstract

Mastery of Science and Technology is one of the components to be achieved national education. Badung district government gives free laptop as much as 8,636 laptops for the students of elementary school. This free laptop distribution is borrowing to students to prepare human resources that not only the function as recipients of information flow but also equip themselves with information and technology management capabilities in order to be able to manage, adjust and develop what they receive through the development of these technologies. Looking at the conditions of technology mastery (laptop) as the access of information is not enough controlled by the teacher as an educator and employee as an educational staff but also learners (students).

Abstract

Technological developments today?s have entered a global level and cover all fields including education. To face the challenges of the future, Human Resources must be improved, so compulsory education is a top priority. In relation to Hinduism education, the teacher as an educator must absolutely be able to develop 21st century skills, as stated in the 2013 Curriculum implementation, so that students are able to realize it when they enter the community. The implications of 21st century skills in the process of Hinduism education actually expect that Hindu students as the next generation of Hindus in the future, are able to think critically to break down irrelevant dogmas. 21st century skills also emphasize improving social and spiritual attitudes that are able to realize Hindu students care for others, care for the environment, and have strong sradha and bhakti. In addition, 21st century skills also expect Hindu students to have online-based work skills and readiness to compete globally. Thus, Hindu?s students as the next generation of young people will be able to face the challenges of the future in the future with strong human resources and also have great spiritual mentality.

Abstract

In this globalization era the role of science and technology covers various aspects of life, especially the world of Education. Education is an aspect of supporting the success of a nation. Hinduism Education is a subject that instills Hinduism. In learning Hinduism Education learning media becomes the main  support of the learning process. Learning  media as a channel for information and messages in learning. Information technology-based learning media is a demand in facing the challenges of 21st century Education. 21st century education has four skills in learning communication (Communication), Collaboration (Collaboration), Critical Thingking and Problem Solving (Critical Thinking and problem solving) and Creativity and Innovation (Creativity and Innovation). With the guidance of the age development, the use of IT-based learning  media  in  learning  Hinduism Education  will  facilitate the transfer  of knowledge  in learning. The benefit of using IT-based learning media is to facilitate the interaction between teachers and students so that learning activities become effective and efficient The use of Information Technology-based learning media such as the internet, mobile phones, flash disks, etc. facilitates the transfer of knowledge in learning.

Abstract

Kearifan lokal juga mengacu pada berbagai kekayaan budaya yang tumbuh dan berkembang dalam sebuah masyarakat yang dikenal, dipercayai, dan diakui sebagai elemen-elemen penting yang mampu mempertebal kohesi sosial di tengah masyarakat. Salah satu kearifan lokal yang bisa ditemui khususnya di Bali adalah ungkap mitos masyarakat Bali. Ungkapan mitos ini pada umumnya diberikan pada anak-anak. Di Bali ungkapan mitos digunakan pada orang tua untuk menakut-nakuti anak-anak mereka. Tujuannya bukan agar anak-anak ketakutan tetapi lebih dari penanaman etika. Cara ini biasanya digunakan kepada anak yang bandel tidak bisa diberitahu oleh orang tuanya. Larangan itu dimaksudkan agar anak-anaknya memiliki etika. Dengan kata lain, fungsi dari larangan ini adalah sebagai bentuk pengajaran etika oleh orang tua kepada anak-anaknya. Kemajuan teknologi mengakibatan data dan informasi saat ini sangat mudah sekali untuk didapatkan. Perubahan kebudayaan menunjukkan adanya suatu periode transisional pola - pola ekonomi, sosial, dan kultural yang terus berubah dan membentuk kontur masa depan. Sesuai perkembangan jaman ungkapan mitos tidak semua relevan digunakan pada jaman sekarang. Dikarenakan demikian maka ada beberapa ungkapan mitos tersebut akan hilang sesuai dengan perkembangan jaman, karena sudah tidak digunakan lagi.
