Abstract

This study aimed to look at the lecturers on competency of the the learning outcomes of students in the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Programe Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab and Dakwah IAIN Samarinda This research used quantitative methods by analyzing using regression analysis with SPSS 17 assistance. Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab and Dakwah IAIN Samarinda, where the population of this research was 95 students of Communication and Islamic Broadcasting IAIN Samarinda and a sample of 77 people was taken by using the Simple Random Sampling method with Slovin formula. As a result, together the influence of lecturer competence on learning outcomes was 0.6% with a significance of 0.038 less than 0.05, which means that the effect is significant. Separately from the four lecturers' competencies namely 0.7% pedagogic competence, 0.6% professional, and 0.6% personality, towards learning achievement, where all three competencies had less than 0.05 so the effect is significant. The social competence of the lecturers only gives a small contribution of 0.2% which did not affect the learning outcomes of students of the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab and Da'wah of IAIN Samarinda, and the significance value is 0.203 greater than 0.05. significant. So that the need for improvement of social competence for lecturers.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to explain the digital da’wah strategy of the Samarinda Keren (Cool) Da’wah Community by examining the da’wah process on social media through the personal accounts of the preachers. The results showed da’wah strategy of the Samarinda Cool Da’wah Community into three: (1) Manhaj al-’Athifi, (2) Manhaj al-Aqli, and (3) Manhaj-al-Hissi. In addition, the Introduction of mad’u or the third object of da’wah is by looking at the effect of the material presented, one of which is by looking at the response of mad’u through the comment column on whether to accept or reject. Preparing da’wah materials by the Qur’an and Hadith to determine a law that gives birth to various variants of science, by the current context and da’wah is carried out with the humility that characterizes it. Samarinda Cool Da’wah Community, utilizing social media as alternative to reach mad’u widely now.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of social media use on the lives of mothers and adolescents in the digital era. Through a qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and questionnaires, this study found that social media such as Instagram and TikTok play a significant role in shaping communication patterns, self-expression, and household economic activities. For mothers, social media opens up opportunities to run online businesses and improve family welfare. Meanwhile, for teenagers, social media is a space for identity exploration, but also has the potential to cause psychological problems such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and decreased self-confidence. The results show that family interactions are shifting as the intensity of technology use increases, which creates new challenges in the relationship between mothers and children. Low digital literacy among parents, as well as the lack of effective supervision strategies, increases the risk of exposure to negative content among adolescents. Therefore, it is important to develop adaptive and collaborative digital parenting approaches. This study concludes that digital literacy and media etiquette are key in optimizing the benefits of digital technology while minimizing its negative impacts. Collaboration between families, schools and communities is needed to form a generation that is resilient, critical and wise in facing the dynamics of digital life.

Abstract

Digital technology is currently growing and affecting almost all lines of modern human life, including in sociocultural communication. The shift in the use of technology from analog to digital is intended to make everything easier, more practical, faster and more effective. This paper aims to examine what the influence of digital technology is in the transformation of sociocultural communication where this sociocultural tradition includes customs, culture, religion, language, and social strata. The research method chosen is qualitative with literature review data collection to collect data and information that provides an overview of current phenomena in sociocultural communication. This research is expected to provide knowledge about current digital technology products with their positive uses. Researchers also explain the negative effects if digital technology is not utilized wisely.
