Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the influence of work disciplinary towards teachers? performances in SMAN 1 Canduang Kabupaten Agam. The population of the research is the teachers in SMAN 1 Canduang Kabupaten Agam. Samples taken are 35 respondents by using census technique, which is a technique to determine sample by selecting data from all population and using quetionnaire as data collecting tool. Based on hypotheses in this research, it is assumed that work disciplinary has positive and significant impact toward teachers? performance in SMA N 1 Canduang Kabupaten Agam.The methods that author used in this research are validity test, reliability test, variable descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis, T test and F test. From the analysis that has been conducted, author found that the work disciplinary variable has positive and significant impact to teachers? performance, that has been proven by the significant probability value 0,007 which is smaller than 0.05. Then, from the result of F test, it can be concluded that the regression model can be used to predict that the work disciplinary has positive and significant impact on teachers? performance that is equal to 0.007, which is much smaller than 0.05.Keywords : work disciplinary, teachers? performance

Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we discuss the implementation of knowledge management in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library. The writing of this paper aims to describe: (1) the application of technology in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (2) cultural changes that occur in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (3) knowledge sharing activities in the Alifah Padang STIKes Library; (4) knowledge management socialization at Alifah Padang STIKes Library. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, which is collecting data by observing and interviewing 5 visitors and 1 librarian at the Alifah Padang STIKes Library. Based on the analysis of the data described earlier, it can be concluded the following matters. First, the application of information technology in the Alifah STIKes Library is applied to the field of information processing activities using the SIMPUS application and information retrieval fields by utilizing online catalogs. Second, the cultural changes that occurred in the STIKes Library were seen from the changes in the organizational structure of the Alifah STIKes Library, which was based on the level of human resources and expertise in managing the library. Second, the cultural changes that occurred in the STIKes Library were seen from the changes in the organizational structure of the Alifah STIKes Library, which was based on the level of human resources and expertise in managing the library. Third, the form of knowledge sharing activities in the Alifah STIKes Library was carried out by sharing knowledge between Alifah STIKes library officers on issues in library management, establishing cooperative relations with 9 university libraries in West Sumatra in the field of complementary library materials, and participating in training activities at Bina institutions. Fourth, Knowledge management socialization in the Alifah STIKes Library in terms of the socialization of the results of the meeting which was decided by the Chairperson of Alifah STIKes based on mutual agreement of the meeting members, by delivering the results of the meetings conducted hierarchically through superiors to subordinates in an oral and written form thoroughly.Keywords: knowledge management; implementation; library

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the leading cause of death in developing countries. Prevention that can be done by doing early detection of cervical cancer. Usually, women need health education before practising their behaviour. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on the attitudes of productive married women in the early detection of cervical cancer in the working area of the Payung Sekaki public health care in Pekanbaru. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with pre and post-test without control. Thirty samples were taken using a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling, with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Paired t-test results obtained p value= 0,001 which is <0.05 which means that there is a significant influence between health education with changes in the attitude of productive married women in conducting early detection of cervical cancer. It is expected that public health care staff should always provide information on early detection of cervical cancer using media and counselling, to improve life welfare and can change attitudes in the early detection of cervical cancer.
