Abstract

Breast milk contains high nutrients that are very beneficial for health, infant development in order to achieve optimal growth. The number of exclusive breastfeeding presentations in Jambi province in 2023 was 65.66%, and in Jambi City it was 57.92%, the impact of babies not being given exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 0-6 months can cause diseases such as infections, respiratory tract and diarrhea. The obstacles for mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding such as lack of knowledge, work, mothers feel stressed, tired, and breast milk is not smooth. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about acupressure to increase breast milk production, the target in this activity is 30 pregnant women, the details of the activities arepre-test carried out for 10 minutes, education is carried out for ±90 minutes using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods using leaflet media, carrying out evaluations by providingpost-test for 10 minutes. The results of the evaluation were then analyzed to determine changes in respondents' knowledge related to the material presented, namely about acupressure in increasing breast milk production. After educating pregnant women, there was an increase in mothers' knowledge about the benefits of acupressure to increase breast milk production by 23.3%. It is hoped that the material that has been presented can be applied independently by pregnant women in preparing for their lactation period, and can disseminate information to family and relatives so that the exclusive breastfeeding program can be achieved.

Abstract

Nauseous vomiting is caused by Changes in the endocrine system in the body that occur during pregnancy are due to high fluctuations in HCG levels (human chrinic gonadotropin) Although nausea and vomiting is a physiological thing, if proper treatment is not carried out, it will turn into pathology where it can affect the health of the mother and fetus, such as malnutrition so that adequate nutrition can be obtained which can cause low birth weight or prematurity. This activity aims to increase the knowledge and understanding of pregnant women and mothers who can do it independently at home in copingmorning sickness. This activity is carried out on the month October 2022 to January 2023 took place at PMB Rosmala Aini Jambi City, which was attended by 20 pregnant women, with lecture, discussion and question and answer methods, the media used was in the form of leaflets, meeting time+ 90 minutes. At the implementation stage, before and after giving the material, an evaluation of the knowledge of pregnant women throughpretest andposttestby using a questionnaire. the result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women with a value before education for mothers with less knowledge of 90% and after education the mother's knowledge becomes good to 85% based on this, it can be concluded that mother's knowledge increases and it is hoped that mothers can do it independently.

Abstract

Young women are a group of people who are vulnerable to the problem of malnutrition in their daily food consumption. Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anemia. The prevalence of anemia among adolescents in the world ranges from 40-88%, of which 22.2% of anemia sufferers in Indonesia are aged ≥ 15 years. Handling anemia with food ingredients is still rarely done even though it has such great potential to prevent anemia, especially in young women. The purpose of implementing this educational activity is to increase knowledge. This activity was carried out from March to August 2023 which began with identification of partner problems, educational activities for young women and Hb checks for adolescents who felt symptoms of anemia. Materials are given through lectures, demonstrations and discussions with participants. Evaluation of the knowledge of young women before education is assessed by conducting a pretest, then given education once for 45-60 minutes. After the education ended, another evaluation was carried out in the form of a posttest with the same questions as the pretest. This activity was attended by 17 students of class XII IPS 1 SMAN 13 Jambi City. The results of the evaluation during the educational process were that the participants seemed enthusiastic about the counseling material, the participants listened to the counseling carefully and the participants asked questions related to the material that was not clear. The results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase in participants' knowledge from before the activity and after the educational activity by 1-3 points. Screening results were obtained from 17 female students, it was identified that 1 person had anemia with an Hb level of 10.6 g%.
