Abstract

The focus on the problems faced by children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in class II SLB was the driving force for this research. The aim of this research is to find out whether Lego Brick media helps class II students at SLBN 2 Padang with Autism Spectrum Disorder focus better. With design A–B, this research uses a Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental research design. Documentation, duration instruments, and observation are the methods used to collect data. Visual graphs are used to assess data in two ways: within conditions and between conditions. Analysis of research data produced results from twelve meetings. The mean level is 4.5, the highest limit is 4.9, the lower limit is 4.1, the percentage is 0, and the stability trend is in the stability range of 0.75 in baseline conditions (A). A stability range of 1.2, a mean level of 6.3, an upper limit of 6.9, a lower limit of 5.7, and a stability percentage of 50% were observed in the intervention condition (B). Based on research findings, it can be said that children with autism spectrum disorders can become more focused when using Lego Brick media.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of preserving and understanding local cultural heritage in facing globalization challenges that threaten the sustainability of local cultures. The Damar Sewu ritual as a learning resource in sociology education focuses on cultural values, symbolism, and its potential in developing the Indonesian education curriculum. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis through literature review. The results show that the Damar Sewu ritual contains various symbols and profound meanings that reflect social values, norms, and belief systems of the local community. In sociology education, the discovery learning method can be applied to provide direct experiences to students about the values embedded in the Damar Sewu ritual. Through this learning process, students not only understand sociological theories abstractly but also experience how these values are applied in the daily lives of the local community, strengthening students' understanding of the importance of preserving and appreciating cultural heritage in building an inclusive and diverse national identity.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the strategic role of Caliph Abu Ja'far al-Mansur in shaping the foundations of Islamic education during the early Abbasid dynasty. The focus of this research is to explore how the political stability built by al-Mansur led to the advancement of Islamic science and education. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a historical approach, through a literature study of historical documents, biographies of figures, and relevant scientific literature. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review, and the data were analyzed narratively and contextually. The results showed that Abu Ja'far al-Mansur played an important role in strengthening the Islamic education system through the development of the city of Baghdad as a center of science, empowering traditional institutions such as mosques, kuttabs, and halaqahs, as well as initiating a movement to translate foreign works into Arabic. He also opened up space for the participation of non-Arabs (mawali) in intellectual activities and began to build an administrative system that supported education and learning. This finding confirms that the era of al-Mansur was the initial period of the formation of an Islamic education system that was inclusive, dynamic, and became the basis for scientific development in the following period.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pembelajaran remedial yang terjadi saat ini dianggap belum sesuai dengan Permendikbud No 103 tahun 2014 karena guru mengalami keterbatasan waktu. Penggunaan video pembelajaran remedial berbasis e-learning merupakan salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan video pembelajaran remedial berbasis e-learning pada materi bentuk aljabar yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 82 Siswa Kelas VIII dari tiga jenjang sekolah Banda Aceh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar validasi video, angket respon siswa, dan tes remedial menggunakan e-learning. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran remedial diperoleh rerata validasi adalah 98.40% memiliki kriteria sangat valid, hasil respon siswa sebesar 83.28% memiliki kriteria praktis, dan efektif berdasarkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari N-Gain pada tes diagnostik dan tes remedial sebesar 0.57 pada kategori sedang. The current implementation of remedial learning is considered not in accordance with Permendikbud (Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture) No. 103 of 2014 because teachers experience time constraints. Using remedial learning videos based on e-learning is one of the efforts that can be made to overcome these constraints. This study aimed to develop remedial learning videos based on e-learning on algebraic forms material that met valid, practical, and effective criteria. This study used the research and development approach with the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were 82 Grade VIII students at three levels of school in Banda Aceh. The instruments used were a validation sheet, student response questionnaire, and remedial test using e-learning. Based on the results of the study, the validation average obtained is 98.40% with very valid criteria, student response obtained at 83.28% with practical criteria, and effective based on the increase in student learning outcomes seen from the N-Gain on the diagnostic test and remedial test of 0.57 in the moderate category.

Abstract

Cultural preservation is a crucial effort to maintain national identity while confronting the challenges of globalization, which have the potential to erode local wisdom values. This study aims to map the development of academic studies on cultural preservation, particularly regarding local wisdom, youth generation, and the Seren Taun ceremony. The method used is bibliometric analysis with Publish or Perish (PoP), collecting data from Google Scholar for the period 2015–2025. Eighty articles were analyzed using VOSviewer to generate three types of visualizations: network, overlay, and density. The results show a significant upward trend in publications, with the highest number in 2025. Network visualization analysis identified four main clusters dominated by cultural heritage, local wisdom, community, and tradition, while Seren Taun appeared fragmented. The overlay visualization showed that the issues of the youth generation and Seren Taun emerged prominently during 2023–2025, indicating a shift in research focus. Density visualization represented high density in Indonesia, local wisdom, and Seren Taun, but the involvement of the youth generation and the term cultural preservation remained restricted. These findings identify a research gap in the roles of youth in cultural preservation, specifically in the context of the Seren Taun ceremony. This study is expected to provide an overview of the research map and direction for the development of more participatory and contextual cultural research in the future.
