Abstract

Conflicts between extractive companies—particularly in the mining and palm oil sectors—and local communities in Indonesia represent a complex and enduring structural phenomenon. This study aims to identify and map scientific trends related to conflict management strategies in this context through a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database using selected keywords, covering publications from 2000 to 2024. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software, focusing on keyword mapping, publication productivity, and networks of author and institutional collaboration. The results revealed three major clusters in the literature: (1) social conflict and conflict management models, (2) sustainability dimensions and corporate social responsibility (CSR), and (3) stakeholder engagement and governance complexity. These findings underscore the importance of a multidimensional approach to understanding conflicts in the extractive sector and highlight a shift in academic focus toward community participation and value-based conflict resolution models. This study contributes to the mapping of scientific knowledge and offers strategic references for policymakers and industry practitioners in designing fair and sustainable conflict resolution approaches.

Abstract

The growing integration of digital technologies into organizational operations has transformed the governance landscape, particularly for non-profit institutions managing complex community development programs. This study examines the role of a Social Responsibility Application (SR App) in enhancing the governance performance of community empowerment initiatives through a digital platform. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research focuses on the Inovasi Muda Indonesia Foundation. This non-profit organization has adopted the SR App to improve its social programs' efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and secondary sources, involving five purposively selected users of the SR App. The findings reveal several benefits of the application, including a more structured governance workflow, real-time program monitoring, accelerated and interactive reporting, and improved data analytics for strategic decision-making. These insights demonstrate how digital transformation can support non-profit organizations in implementing good governance practices and achieving greater impact through technology-enabled community development. The study offers practical implications for other non-profits aiming to strengthen their governance through e-governance tools.

Abstract

This research discusses more effective Air Traffic Control (ATC) learning through new approaches and innovative methods. The new approaches described include project-based, problem-based, skill-based, and game-based approaches. Meanwhile, the innovative methods discussed include simulation, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR). Factors that influence the effectiveness of ATC learning are also discussed, including the ability of instructors, facilities, and student motivation. This research used qualitative methods by conducting interviews with 10 ATC personnel and 10 ATC instructors, and performing a Two Sample Mean Test on 96 ATC students in Indonesia. Based on the analysis, it was found that innovative methods and new approaches can improve the effectiveness of ATC learning compared to Conventional methods. However, further research is needed to deepen the use of technology in ATC learning.
