Abstract

This study aims to analyze the research landscape of digital democracy through a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review of publications from 2019 to 2024. The research identifies key themes, methodologies, and trends in digital democracy studies and evaluates their temporal evolution across various geographical and cultural contexts. The study employs a mixed-method approach, combining bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer and Bibliometrix tools with a systematic review following PRISMA guidelines. The findings reveal that while digital technologies offer the potential for enhancing democratic participation, they also present challenges, such as spreading misinformation and unequal access to digital resources. The study highlights the need for interdisciplinary approaches to address the complexities of digital democracy comprehensively. This research contributes by comprehensively mapping digital democracy research, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers. The study’s limitations include its focus on English-language publications and excluding non-peer-reviewed literature, which may limit the diversity of perspectives captured. Future research should broaden the scope by including multilingual publications and conducting deeper empirical investigations into digital democracy initiatives to enrich understanding and implementation strategies in the digital era.

This research explores the concept of Smart Villages, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in their implementation in rural areas. The study emphasizes social sustainability, community empowerment, and the role of technology in improving quality of life. The objectives are twofold: to understand the role of international collaboration in accelerating smart village development and to explore the implications of these findings for future development. Bibliometric analysis is used to map research progress and identify strategies for integrating technology into smart village management. The findings offer practical implications for public policy design, showing the potential for creating more inclusive and sustainable strategies for smart village implementation. The study highlights the importance of cross-sector collaboration and empowering village communities in policy planning and execution. It also provides insights into addressing challenges related to technology application in rural areas, as well as improving social and environmental sustainability through technology-driven solutions. This research contributes by combining technical, social, and cultural analysis in the development of smart villages. Its value lies in a holistic approach, considering social, cultural, and economic diversity when designing solutions. Additionally, it fills gaps in existing literature by incorporating international perspectives, with a special focus on developing countries.

Abstract

Drug abuse among adolescents is a growing public health problem, particularly in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency. The family, as the closest environment for adolescents, plays a crucial role in preventing risky behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between family roles and drug abuse behavior among adolescents in Sidrap Regency. The research design used a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 120 adolescents aged 15–24 years, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a structured questionnaire regarding family roles (communication, supervision, emotional support, and religious values) and drug abuse behavior. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The results showed a significant relationship between family roles and drug abuse behavior (p < 0.05). Adolescents from families with poor communication, low supervision, and minimal emotional support are at higher risk of drug abuse. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the family's role in preventing drug abuse among adolescents.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a serious problem that threatens the health, safety, and future of young people in Indonesia. Sidenreng Rappang Regency is an area vulnerable to drug distribution and abuse, particularly among adolescents and the productive population. This study aims to identify strategies for preventing and addressing drug abuse through a community approach. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of government officials, community leaders, health workers, law enforcement officers, and community groups. The results indicate that community-based strategies include: drug education and counseling, strengthening the role of families, cross-sector collaboration (government, the National Narcotics Agency, police, schools, and community organizations), and the formation of drug-aware communities. In conclusion, drug prevention efforts through a community approach are effective in raising awareness, strengthening family resilience, and creating a conducive, drug-free environment. The research recommendations include expanding the scope of educational programs, optimizing the role of local communities, and integrating drug prevention policies with regional development programs.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a serious problem that threatens the future of adolescents in Indonesia, including in Sidenreng Rappang Regency (Sidrap). Adolescents are vulnerable due to environmental, family, and social factors. The purpose of this study was to analyze drug prevention programs and the risk factors associated with drug abuse among adolescents in Sidrap. This study used a mixed-method sequential explanatory design, beginning with a quantitative survey of 200 high school/vocational school adolescents and continuing with in-depth interviews with religious leaders, teachers, National Narcotics Agency (BNN) officers, and adolescents. The quantitative analysis showed that the main risk factors significantly associated with drug abuse were peer influence (p<0.05), poor family communication (p<0.05), and insufficient knowledge about the dangers of drugs (p<0.05). Meanwhile, qualitative findings revealed that existing prevention programs, such as school counseling and BNN campaigns, have not been optimal due to limited resources and low family involvement. The study's conclusions emphasize that drug prevention efforts must be implemented holistically through synergy between the government, schools, religious leaders, and families.
