Abstract

Anemia is a decrease in the capacity of the blood to carry oxygen due to a less than normal number of red blood cells or a decrease in hemoglobin concentration which can be caused by a decrease in the production of red blood cells or a lot of blood loss. Anemia in Indonesia is generally caused by iron deficiency, so it is more often called iron deficiency anemia. Anemia is a condition in which a person has a hemoglobin (Hb) level of <13g/dL for males or <12g/dL for females. This disease is the highest cause of disability in the world. The aim of this activity is to prevent anemia through giving soy milk and dates to anemic young women at Baitul Hikmah Tempurejo Vocational School, Jember. The method of delivering health education is carried out by means of a question and answer discussion to all respondents. The results of community service activities have provided education to young women through lectures, checking Hb levels, discussing the importance of preventing anemia. The responses generated by the respondents were enthusiastic enough to be understood by teenagers. This is evidenced by the questions and answers from the respondents. A screening test for hemoglobin (Hb) levels was carried out. From the results of the examination, not all adolescents with normal Hb levels, some were in the anemia category, the hemoglobin level was checked using an electric detection device. Treatment has been given by giving date soy milk to adolescents with anemia, then re-evaluation was carried out and the results showed an increase in Hb levels.

This type of research is Pre-Experimental with a one Group Pretest-Posttest desing approach using Total Sampling. Data analysis using the Wilcoxond test with the result that the Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value is <0.001. Abstract

Anemia is a public health problem that still has a high prevalence, especially among adolescents. According to WHO data, approximately 25% of adolescents worldwide experience anemia caused by iron deficiency. Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to anemia because they experience accelerated growth and menstruation, so they need nutritional intake containing iron. One of the challenges in treating anemia is identifying the right cause to determine iron deficiency. One of the laboratory examinations needed to establish an accurate diagnosis is TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity ), which measures the capacity of blood to bind iron through transferrin. This study aims to describe nutritional status, hemoglobin levels, and TIBC levels. This type of research is analytically descriptive. A cross-sectional observational research methodology is employed. 76 female adolescents from SMK Baitul Hikmah made up the study's population. Total sampling was the method employed, and it was based on the screening findings, which included female adolescents. The study's findings outline measurements of TIBC, hemoglobin, and BMI. There are 66.7% underweight adolescents, 9.5% have anemia, and 28.5% have abnormal TIBC levels. The study concluded that examining nutritional status, hemoglobin levels, and Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) is important in assessing individuals' health, especially in malnutrition and anemia. Continuous monitoring and other examinations are needed to support the diagnosis of adolescents who experience anemia.

Abstract

Contextual problem solving skills are very important for students to master. However, many students still have difficulty in problem solving. Therefore, media development is needed that can improve these skills, one of which is through website development. The purpose of this study is to develop a website as a mathematics learning media that raises contextual problems for junior high school/Islamic junior high school levels. This development research uses the Research and Development (RD) method. The methods used to collect data are observation, interviews and documentation studies for initial data collection, questionnaires for assessing the feasibility of the developed media, and evaluation tests for effectiveness tests. The subjects of this study consisted of 4 material experts, 3 Indonesian language experts, and 5 media experts. This study obtained very valid results in terms of material with a value of 95.14%. In terms of Indonesian, the results were very good with a value of 88.64%. Meanwhile, in the media test, the results were very good with a value of 93.47%. Student assessments in the initial trial stage obtained very good results of 79.92%. Student assessments in the field trial obtained very good results of 82.76%. Student assessment on dissemination got very good results of 82.82% and the effectiveness test on website-based mathematics learning media with contextual problems got good results of 77.01%. For other researchers who focus on the development of learning media, especially those based on websites, it is necessary to develop the security of the website being developed by validating the registered email.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a disease that is currently pandemic almost worldwide, with the first case in Indonesia on March 2, 2020, spreading rapidly across the entire country. Pregnant women are a vulnerable group to experience health disorders, especially infectious diseases, due to changes in physiological body and immune response mechanisms within their bodies. In this study, we report a case of COVID-19 in a 31-year-old pregnant woman at 30-31 weeks of gestation, who is pregnant with her second child and complained of leaking amniotic fluid and shortness of breath. Physical examination results showed: positive SARS-CoV-2 antigen swab test, BP 156/112 mmHg, T (36.0°C), heart rate 107 beats per minute, respiratory rate 30 breaths per minute, fetal heart rate 144 beats per minute, SpO2 97%, urine protein +4, Hb 4.4 g%. Vaginal toucher examination revealed cervical dilation of 1 cm, negative for amniotic fluid leakage, and cephalic presentation. Spontaneous delivery process. The baby was born normally, female, APGAR score 1-2, weight 900 grams, length 27 cm, positive anus. Complications accompanying pneumonia, metabolic acidosis, anemia, melena, coagulopathy. This case report contains clinical descriptions, diagnosis, and management of care for pregnant women with Covid-19.
