Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan layanan konseling yang membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan khususnya tentang bahaya seks bebas terhadap kesehatan reproduksi remaja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pondok pesantren Putri Hirzu Millati, dengan subject penelitian adalah santri putri di Pondok tersebut. Nilai  pretest  diperoleh  sangat  rendah  dimana  jumlah  santriwati remaja putri yang  memiliki  pengetahuan  yang  baik  tentang  bahaya  seks  bebas dan cara penegahan kekerasan seksual  sangat  sedikit  yakni  kurang dari   50%,  dimana 8  santriwati  (38,09%)  saja  yang memiliki  pengetahuan  yang  baik dimana dari 10 pertanyaan 5 orang mendapatkan nilai 8 dan 3 orang mendapatkan nilai 7  Sedangkan  sisanya  sebanyak  13 santriwati 61,90 %  mendapatkan nilai 4-5 hal ini menunjukan santriwati tidak  memiliki pengetahuan  yang  baik  tentang  bahaya  seks  bebas. Sedangkan hasil post test 15 (71.42 %) santriwati mengalami peningkata  dengan mendaptkan nilai antara 80-100. Sebanyak 6 (28,58 %) santriwati mendapatkan nilai rentang 60-70 dan tidak ada nilai dibawah 50. Dari hasil tersebut pengetahuan yang mengalami peningkatan sehingga dapat mencegah prilaku seks bebas dan pecegahan kekerasan seksual yang mengancam

Abstract

This study concerns on the effect of peer review on EFL students’ writing skill in writing nursing care documentation. The aims of this study are to investigate the possible effectiveness of the peer review technique to increase the quality of nursing students’ writing skill and to see whether this method motivates student to write. The method of the study is quantitative method. The participants were 78 nursing students in the fourth semester of CendekiaUtama Health College. They were randomly categorized into two experimental and control groups. In the experimental group were providing with an additional peer review instruction offered by O’Muirheartaigh (1990) including the provision of constructive feedback to their peers and evaluating and correcting the peer’s performances. They were paired for peer review, conferencing and exchanging their Nursing care documentation with those of their peers. The reviewers had to correct, evaluate and respond those Nursing care documentation. While, in the control group were traditionally handled by teacher who assigned them homework and correct their Nursing care documentation by themselves.The experiment was run over two month. The data were collected using questionnaire, pre – test and post – test for language proficiency and writing skill, peer response sheet, writing criteria and guidelines sheet. The result of the study indicated that p-score is 0,000 <0,05, So that Ho is Rejected and Ha is Accepted which means there is difference of Pre Test with Post Test score. It is known that statistic t - arithmetic is -6.202 which means the score of pre - test is smaller than post - test with point score 6.202. It indicated that the writing of the students in the experimental group improved more than those in control group. Also, those engaged in peer review method were motivated to write more and enjoy writing. It was concluded that peer review provides learners with an authentic audience, increase the students’ motivation for writing and enables them to receive different views on their writing. Abstract

English is studied as a second language and it has crucial role in every aspect, especially in educational aspect. In the millennial era, students not only use English in their real communication, but they also use it to communicate on several application or websites. English need to study by the students at the university level because it will skilled them for their future. This study attempts to know what kinds of motivation had by the students in studying English at STIKES Cendekia Utama Kudus. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. It is conducted to find the students’ motivation in studying English; either student used extrinsic motivation or intrinsic motivation. The population in this research was all of the students who take an English Subject on even semester in the academic years 2018/2019, while the sample in this research was 139 students. The researcher used Likert Scale rating score as the instrument and also questionnaire which were adapted from Gardner’s Attitude or Motivation Test Battery (AMTB). The finding explained that extrinsic motivational level is higher than intrinsic motivational level. The extrinsic motivational level stands in point 4.14, while intrinsic motivational level stands in point 4.04. Although, total score of extrinsic motivational lever is higher than intrinsic motivational level, both of them are in a high level. This result showed that students have good motivation, both in Intrinsic and Extrinsic motivation. It will be useful for the lecturer to make learning English better on their future. Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is designed to meet students' specific needs. It deals with a need analysis. It is crucial to conduct a need analysis before designing the materials and syllabus. The material learned by students in the Academic process should correlate to the student’s needs in the professional world/work world. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) which used ADDIE Model. It explored the required skills and difficulties encountered by the students in learning English, analyzed the learning materials topic that supports the profession, and the components of communicative competence need on therapeutic communication materials of palliative nursing. The data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. There were 30 nursing students and 2 nursing lecturers. The questionnaires were distributed to students to explore their needs, while the interview was used to support data from the questionnaire. The findings indicated that since it focuses on therapeutic communication of palliative nursing, speaking skills need to train more. This skill is important as well as listening, reading, and writing. It is interconnected and can not stand alone. All of them need to be mastered by students. The material content taught needs to focus on the cases of palliative nursing, and it must follow the steps of therapeutic communication techniques and strategies applied in daily nursing intervention procedures. So ESP nursing course will support the institution in producing qualified graduates who are competent and skilled in their profession, capable to communicate in both English and Indonesian, competing, and being ready to work in the international world.
