Abstract

This study aims to determine the community development in the utilization of waste in Bank Sampah Prabumulih. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection technique research using observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of the research shows that the development of waste utilization by Bank Sampah Prabumulih is one of the forms of environment based empowerment. From the development done to make people care about the environment, increasing knowledge of the community, the growing caring attitude, and increasing skills in utilizing waste. Suggestion from this research is Bank Sampah Prabumulih need to improve skill result from waste processing both in quality and quantity.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of socioeconomic status and financial management education in the family to the financial literacy in 1st State Vocational School of Surabaya academic year 20132014. Population of this study were 197 students. Sampled by 132 students selected by using simple random sampling. Data were collected by questionnaires and documentation. The method of analysis in this study was regression linear. The results showed that the socioeconomic status of parents directly influence financial literacy, financial management education in the family influence on financial literacy and socioeconomic status also family financial education has significant direct effect on financial literacy

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam era modernisasi menghadapi tantangan untuk memperkuat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Artikel ini menjelaskan penerapan model pembelajaran Predict-ObserveExplain (POE) dengan bantuan Virtual Reality (VR) dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), khususnya materi ekosistem bawah laut. POE mengajak siswa untuk memprediksi, mengobservasi, dan menjelaskan fenomena IPA secara mendalam. Melalui VR, siswa dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan lingkungan virtual, memperdalam pemahaman dan keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep IPA. Kesimpulannya, POE berbantuan VR adalah solusi inovatif untuk memperkuat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di era modern.

Abstract

Kokedama is the art of packing plants in earthen balls covered with coconut fiber. Kokedama is becoming increasingly popular as an attractive and environmentally friendly plant decoration alternative. This training was held to provide new skills that can improve the family economy through the production and sale of kokedama. The training method includes theory and direct practice and is divided into several sessions. The first session introduces kokedama, the materials and tools needed, and the basic techniques for making them. The second session includes the practice of making kokedama and plant care tips. Participants are also given knowledge about offline and online product marketing strategies to expand market reach. The results of this activity show an increase in PKK women's understanding and skills in making kokedama. Apart from that, this training increased their interest and enthusiasm to develop a kokedama-based home business. With this training, it is hoped that PKK mothers in Jatisari Village can utilize these new skills to improve their family's economic welfare and positively contribute to the surrounding environment. Abstrak Kokedama adalah sebuah seni mengemas tanaman dalam bola tanah yang dilapisi serabut kelapa. Kokedama menjadi semakin populer sebagai alternatif dekorasi tanaman yang menarik dan ramah lingkungan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan baru yang dapat meningkatkan ekonomi keluarga melalui produksi dan penjualan kokedama. Metode pelatihan meliputi teori dan praktik langsung yang dibagi dalam beberapa sesi. Sesi pertama adalah pengenalan kokedama, bahan dan alat yang diperlukan, serta teknik dasar pembuatannya. Sesi kedua mencakup praktik pembuatan kokedama dan tips perawatan tanaman. Selain itu, peserta juga diberikan pengetahuan tentang strategi pemasaran produk secara offline dan online untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK dalam pembuatan kokedama. Selain itu, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan minat dan semangat mereka untuk mengembangkan usaha rumahan berbasis kokedama. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, diharapkan ibu-ibu PKK di Kelurahan Jatisari dapat memanfaatkan keterampilan baru ini untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga serta memberikan kontribusi positif bagi lingkungan sekitar.
