The performance of female nurses can be affected by work stress. This is because it refers to two or more roles that are carried out simultaneously, in this case the role of women as wives for their husbands, mothers for their children, and roles as career women. This study aims to determine the relationship between multiple roles and work stress with the performance of female nurses in the Padang Pariaman Hospital Inpatient Room. This type of quantitative research with a Cross Sectional Study approach.  The research was conducted in July-August 2023 at the Padang Pariaman Hospital Inpatient Room. The research sample was 51 people. Sampling by means of Total Sampling. Statistical test using Chi Square degrees of significance (p value <α 0.05), with result 0,002.   The results showed that most of the respondents, namely 30 (56.1%), experienced high multiple roles. The majority of respondents, namely 36 (70.6%), experienced work stress in the light category. Most of the respondents, namely 32 (62.7%), had good performance.  Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between multiple roles and work stress with the performance of nurses at Padang Pariaman Hospital in 2023.Keywords : Double Role, Work Stress, Performance Of  Female Nurses

Abstract

Abstract: Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a menstrual disorder in teenagers that occurs in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, and is usually felt 7-14 days before menstruation. The most common symptoms are irritability, back pain, and muscle pain or edema. This type of research is research using a descriptive correlation method using a cross sectional study design where variables including risk factors and variables including effects are observed simultaneously at the same time. Researchers conducted an analysis of the relationship between stress levels and events. The population used in this research were all young women in Class VII of SMPN 1 Lubuk Alung, totaling 112 female students. The sample was 88 female students. This research was conducted from 27 to 29 July 2024. Data was collected using a recitation questionnaire, processed using computerization and analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis.  Univariate results showed that (22.7%) experienced very severe levels of stress, (52.3%) experienced premenstrual syndrome. From the bivariate results based on statistical test results (chi-square), the p value = 0.000 (<0.05) was obtained, which means there is a significant relationship between stress levels and premenstrual syndrome at SMPN 1 Lubuk Alung 2024. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that stress levels can influence premenstrual syndrome at SMPN 1 Lubuk Alung. Abstract

Background: Adolescents can experience dysmenorrhea due to stress exceeding normal limits and inadequate nutrition, which can exacerbate dysmenorrhea. This is because nutritional deficiencies can affect reproductive organ function and increase the risk of menstrual pain in adolescents. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in adolescents. Methods: The study design used an observational analytic approach. The sample of 48 adolescent respondents was selected using a simple random sampling technique using a stress questionnaire (Kessler Psychological Distress Scale) and a dysmenorrhea questionnaire (Numeric Pain Rating Scale). Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rho test (p < 0.05). Results: The results showed a very strong relationship between stress levels and the incidence of dysmenorrhea in adolescents. The p-value of 0.913 (less than 0.05) confirmed the significance of this relationship. Conclusion:  It can be concluded that there is a strong relationship between stress levels and the severity of dysmenorrhea in adolescents in Koto Baru Hiang Village. There is also a significant positive relationship between stress levels and the severity of dysmenorrhea. Adolescents with higher stress levels tend to experience more severe dysmenorrhea. Data also shows that interventions to reduce stress are essential to support adolescent reproductive health and improve their quality of life. Therefore, in-depth education for adolescents is needed to minimize the incidence of stress-related diemesis.
