Abstract

The gap of Pan Balang Tamak character who was usually known by Balinese people in general happened in Nongan Village, Rendang Distric, Karangasem Regency. Beyond Pan Balang Tamak character precisely was respected by showing himself in the term of Balang Tamak temple in Nongan Village. The connection of Pan Balang Tamak myth with the folklore material in the village including the tradition which use janggi in the meeting, village rules, Pan Balang Tamak temple, Bale Pegat temple, Shrine in Subak Petian, and Karang Suung. There is a widening story then like Pan Balang Tamak myth according to the family of the landlord in Subak Petian area which connected with the family tree of Pasek Prateka and Pan Balang Tamak myth which connected with Rejang Buah dance and Baris Kumbang they arise as the result of the behavior of Pan Balang Tamak’s daughters.

Abstract

Character education is an education system that aims to instill certain character values to students in which there is a component of knowledge, awareness, or will, and actions to carry out these values. Character education is very closely related to moral education in which the aim is to shape and practice the ability of individuals continuously in order to perfect themselves towards a better life. Developing the nation's character should begin at an early age. Early childhood is the most rapid development in various aspects including religious, moral, social, intellectual, and emotional aspects. Many things can be used as an intermediary in the delivery of aspects of character education especially for children. One of them is through traditional Balinese song. Traditional Balinese song is as one of the communication media in the delivery of character education because in the traditional music itself there are song lyrics that are full of meaning and moral value. One of the famous traditional songs in Bali is Dadong Dauh which is one of the poems of the Mijil poem. In the lyrics of the song Dadong Dauh there are moral values and education, namely the value of honesty.

Abstract

Ādiparwa is an early part of aṣṭadaśaparwa that forms the Mahābhārata, consisting of 2 (two) separate sections. The first part presents the framework of the Bhārata epic, the story of the sacrificial rites on the orders of King Janamejaya in order to destroy the dragons because King Parikṣit who was the father of King Janamejaya was killed by the Taksaka dragon. The second part, contains the genealogy of the Pāṇḍawa and Korawa, their birth and youth to Arjuna's marriage to Subhadrā. In the Ādiparwa text there is also another story, the story of the rotation of Mount Mandara, which fighting between the gods and the daitya. In the story of the rotation of Mount Mandara transformed into the form of existing buildings at UPT Taman Budaya Provinsi Bali.
