Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia must engage in various initiatives in order to enhance its comprehension of its position within the national education system. It is imperative for Islamic education to endorse and augment general education in grasping the complexities of the contemporary world, rather than concentrating solely on religious identity. National strategies need to acknowledge education as a critical element in addressing societal and environmental transformations. The analysis of Islamic education policies has commenced following the enactment of the National Education System Law in 2003. A more profound insight into these policies has the potential to fortify the education system, ensuring the adaptation of Islam in parallel with its doctrinal teachings. By catering to current requirements and fortifying the education sector, particularly Islamic education, there exists significant potential for substantial contributions to sustainable economic advancement and the fostering of human resources in Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the problems in the study of haqiqah and majaz involves the field of language and literature. In the field of Arabic language and literature studies, there is a branch of science, called Balaghoh Science, whose topic of study is haqiqah and majaz as written in this article. Balaghoh science is one of the tools to comprehensively understand the Qur'an, Al-Hadith, Arabic texts or expressions, both from the perspective of lafadz and its meaning. In addition, this science is also closely related to other sciences, including ushul fiqh, tafsir, hadith, tasawwuf, and so on. Understanding haqiqah and majaz is very important in understanding Arabic texts and expressions, especially understanding the Qur'an and Al-Hadith. In Quranic studies, the concepts of haqiqah and majaz are closely related to the issue of ta'wil. Basically, haqiqi expressions do not require ta'wil, while majazi expressions require ta'wil, which is the transfer of outer meaning to inner meaning, namely the meaning behind the apparent, based on rational justifications, taking into account the context and linguistic rules. The writing in this article uses qualitative research methods with a literature study approach. The sources of data for this paper are taken from books, books, and other sources related to the discussion. This article tries to discuss briefly about haqiqah and majaz in relation to ta'wil. Therefore, some of the discussions review: the concept of haqiqah, majaz, and ta'wil; classification of haqiqah; classification of majaz; haqiqah and majaz in the problem of ta'wil; and haqiqah-majaz and ta'wil, between bayani and 'irfani.

Abstract

The Quran is an Arabic holy book. In its history, the Companions differed in reading or reciting it. The difference in qira'at is what, in turn, can affect the meaning and istinbath the law it contains. Qiraat in the Quran is one of the discussions, even becoming a science in itself. To make it easier for people to read and memorize the Qur'an, the Prophet Muhammad (Saw) gave the Companions the freedom to read the Qur'an in several dialects according to Jibril's teachings. As a result, different variants of recitation spread among the Companions. They spread throughout Islam to teach the Qur'ān to the people. They taught the Qur'ān according to the qira'at they received from the Prophet. Until the time of Umar bin alKhatab there was a disagreement in the process of inheriting the qiraat from the Prophet to some Companions. At that time, the Companions were well aware of the reasons for the difference of opinion and it did not have a bad impact on society, because it was based on the permission of the Prophet to facilitate the Companions in reading and memorizing. However, during the time of Caliph Uthman, sharp disputes began to emerge among the Companions, to the point that the qira'at of one school and the qira'at of another school blamed each other. The scope of the discussion of this paper revolves around the definition of qira'at, the origin and development of qira'at, the various qira'at and their criteria of validity, and the variations of texts and readings as well as the application in the interpretation of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research explores strategies to enhance the coherence between curriculum and instruction in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) by employing Robins Fogarty's theory of curriculum integration. Utilizing a qualitative approach with integrating a theoretical study as a research design. Specifically, the study highlights the utility of Fogarty’s tripartite integration model as a critical lens for developing a unified IRE curriculum. This model aims to synchronize disparate content areas, fostering a more integrated and holistic student understanding. For the data sources, the research examined the various theories linked with Forgaty’s theory, and the data analysis was qualitative, in which the research tried to explain and integrate the theory into IRE policy. The findings from the study emphasized the imperative for further applied research to develop integrated lesson plans, explore teachers’ experiences and professional development needs, and assess comprehensive learning outcomes. The research advocates for a collaborative approach between curriculum theorists and educators to refine and advance IRE policies. Such collaborative efforts ensure that IRE promotes intellectual advancement and contributes to students’ spiritual and personal growth, ultimately enriching their educational experience.
