Abstract

This reserach beginning from observation that done by researcher to teaching material of totaling number at State Elementary School of Waung, Krembung, Sidoarjo. On learning process, teacher still have not utilize learning media as a learning source. This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes in integer addition material. This research used class action research design. Data collecting technique that use it, they are observation and test. Data that have collected will be analyzed by using descriptive quantitative analysis technique. Research result showed that by applying colour LEGO media it increased student learning result with classical completeness that obtained on first cycle as big as 64%, second cycle as big as 88%. Beside it, from the research result it also show that there is an improvement on teacher activity on first cycle with percentage as big as 71,15% and on second cycle 95,19%, also improvement on student activity on first cycle with percentage as big as 71,59% and second cycle with percentage 94,89%. Abstract

Abstract                 As far as the society civilization developed, education has to be able to answer the future challenges. Indonesia?s education is obligated to face the 4.0 industrial revolution era. There are three aspects in the education institution that must be balanced-undergo. Those are scholars and professionals. They must be able to run and co-operate the education system maximally. Indonesia is consisted of variousrace and religion. If those differences could not be navigated, they would be obstacles in the education system implementation. Students will be the main role model as the future generation successor. Also, students have to maintain the Bhineka through character education to face the future challenges. This paper is aimed to create the student?s tolerance and cooperation through education character system based on 2013 Curiculum. This curriculum is focusing on learning system that navigated to character education strengthening. Those character educations are nationalism behavior development, integrity, independent, mutual assistance and religious. Those are also expected to implement that could be as an effort to maintain the Bhineka.   Abstrak Seiring berkembangnya peradaban dan zaman, pendidikan harus mampu menjawab tantangan dimasa mendatang. Pendidikan di Indonesia harus mampu menghadapi era revolusi industry 4.0. Ada tiga aspek dalam lembaga pendidikan yang harus berjalan seimbang, yakni tenaga pendidik, sistem pendidikan, dan peserta didik yang berkompeten. Dalam hal ini, peserta didik dan tenaga pendidik harus mampu bekerja sama melaksanakan sistem pendidikan dengan maksimal. Indonesia terdiri dari beberapa suku, ras dan agama. Apabila perbedaan tersebut tidak diarahkan maka akan menjadi penghambat dalam pelaksanaan sistem pendidikan. Peserta didik menjadi tokoh utama sebagai penerus generasi bangsa. Peserta didik harus mampu mempertahankan kebhinekaan melalui pendidikan karakter untuk menghadapi tantangan di masa depan. Makalah ini ditulis dengan tujuan agar peserta didik dapat membangun kerja sama dan toleransi melalui program pendidikan karakter berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Kurikulum 2013 menitikberatkan sistem pembelajaran yang mengarahkan pada penguatan pendidikan karakter. Adapun pendidikan karakter yang dimaksud adalah pengembangan sikap nasionalisme, integritas, mandiri, gotong royong, dan religius. Diharapkan melalui kurikulum 2013 peserta didik dapat menerapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang bisa dijadikan salah satu upaya untuk mempertahankan kebhinekaan.

Abstract

Karakter adalah sikap yang tumbuh dari diri individu, karakter dapat tumbuh dengan sebuah pembiasaan atau dorongan. Media diorama dijadikan sebagai sebuah alat bantu dalam pembelajaran untuk mendorong tumbuhnya karakter anak. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui media diorama berpengaruh terhadap pendidikan karakter anak pada tema 7 subtema 2 peristiwa kebangsaan proklamasi kemerdekaan pada pembelajaran ke 3 kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas 5 SDN Bluru Kidul, Sidoarjo. Dari penelitian ini ada 3 aspek karakter yang diteliti dalam pembelajaran, yakni karakter kemandirian, karakter kerjasama dan karakter tanggung jawab. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik SPSS, dengan hasil analisis pendidikan karakter siswa (prettest) terlihat bahwa dengan melihat hasil uji Independent Sample T test diperoleh thitung = -0,15 < ttabel = 2. Hasil sig. 2 tailed  0,988 > 0,05 maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak.  Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter siswa di kelas kontrol maupun eksperimen tidak menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda. Setelah diberikan treatment, dilakukan posttest  hasil analisis pendidikan karakter anak (posttest) terlihat bahwa hasil uji Independent Sample T test diperoleh thitung = 3,485 > ttabel = 2. Sig. 2 tailed 0,001 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Jadi, ada perbedaan pendidikan karakter siswa di kelas V-B (kontrol) dan kelas V-A (eksperimen). Tidak ada perbedaan pendidikan karakter siswa sebelumnya (pretest). Setelah diberikan perlakuan (treatment) dan dilakukan posttest. Pendidikan karakter siswa lebih baik dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran diorama dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran konvensional. Jadi, disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran diorama berpengaruh terhadap pendidikan karakter siswa.
