Abstract

Subjek penelitian ini adalah komposit yang diperkuat serat limbah plastik. Komposit ini terdiri dari matriks dari bahan epoxy dan penguat dari serat limbah plastik. Limbah plastik yang tidak dapat diurai oleh tanah dimanfaatkan untuk material teknik. Penelitian ini bertujuan jangka panjang untuk menghasilkan produk yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti logam pada alat-alat transportasi di darat, laut dan udara serta pada konstruksi bangunan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendapatkan teknik pembuatan material komposit diperkuat serat limbah plastik, mendapatkan massa jenis material komposit diperkuat serat limbah plastik, dan mengetahui perilaku mekanik akibat beban tekan. Spesimen dicetak mengikuti standar pengujian lendutan ASTM D790-02. Pembuatan spesimen uji dilakukan dengan metode hand lay-up. Nilai lendutan yang terbesar pada komposisi serat dengan massa 5 gr yaitu y2 = 3,78 mm dan nilai modulus elastisitas terbesar pada komposisi massa = 8 gr yaitu E = 3,04 GPa.

Abstract

This time and in the future we must utilize renewable energy sources. The energy we use today is still dominated by fossil fuels which will gradually run out. One of the environmentally friendly renewable energy sources that we can use is wind energy. Wind turbines can be used to produce electrical energy, so that it can overcome one of the energy problems for people in need. Wind turbines that are suitable for low wind speed and medium wind speed are Savonius turbine types. For the development of the research a wind turbine prototype was made. This test was carried out on the prototype type U-type savonius wind turbine and the aluminum-based blade. The rotor has a diameter of 350 mm and a height of 440 mm. The study parameters measured are wind speed, rotor rotation speed, voltage and current of the generator. The performance of the U-type savonius wind turbine in this test is at wind speeds of 4 m/s to wind speeds of 6 m / s. At 6 m / s wind speed the maximum rotation of the turbine shaft is 33.80 rpm, wind power is 18.65 watts and produces electric power of 5.24 watts.

Abstract

The issue of environmental damage due to the expansion of palm oil plantations in Indonesia has become a global issue. It has often hampered the development of the downstream palm oil industries in Indonesia. The European market was once closed to palm oil and derivative products from Indonesia. In fact, this industry has become a source of income and employment for millions of Indonesians. Therefore, palm oil industry must be supported with sustainable efforts. One of them is developing SADS (Soil and Air Detector System) model. Which is a tool for detecting soil and air environmental conditions around palm oil plantations. The parameters are soil PH, CO2 levels, temperature and humidity, and sunlight. The measurement results from this tool can be accessed and displayed in real-time via the internet. This is research aims to build a smart system as a solution to environmental problems around palm oil plantations. This is useful for knowing and observing the condition of palm oil plantations and as a basis for taking mitigation actions if the condition is in a critical state

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan kegiatan intrakurikuler perguruan tinggi yang memadukan dharma pendidikan, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat sekaligus dalam satu kegiatan. Di beberapa perguruan tinggi, KKN merupakan bagian integral dari kurikulum yang mengintegrasikan pengalaman belajar mahasiswa dengan realitas kehidupan di masyarakat. Kuliah Kerjan Nyata dilakukan di Rt 06 Rw 05 Cawang, Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur.kegitan yang dilakukan berupa penyuluhan logo obat, logo obat tradisional dan swamedikasi penyakit diare. hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan wawasan pengetahuan masyarakat setempat meningkat. Untuk pemeriksaan kesehatan yang dilakukan yaitu gula darah dan asam urat menunjukka 84% dikategorikan kedalam normal. Serta penanaman toga yang dilakukan guna membantu mengobati penyakit seperti daun seledri membantu menurunkan tekanan gula darah. Tanaman binahong dan kembang telang merupakan tanaman yang dapat membantu mengobati diare. program penyuluhan stunting dilakukan guna membantu mencegah terjadinya stunting pada masyarakat setempat dengan 20 anak berusia dibawah 5 tahun. Adapun kegiatan senam bertujuan membantu menyehatkan tubuh serta mengerakkan otot dan tulang.

Abstract

Nowadays, The Medan city has developed public street lighting along the protocol highways. The government has spent billions bugdet to readiness. The estimated electrical consumption for public street lighting will be 47.06 MW by 2025. Therefore, energy efficiency is required to complete the system of public street lighting. This research use LTE lamp to control electrical consumption for lamps. There are 4 main components, namely LTE Lamp Controller, which is including a LoRa component, light sensors BH1750, SIM card, and fuzzy logic program. Cloud server as a storage for measurement data. Monitoring devices as laptop or smartphone. GSM network as interface networking between LTE lamp controller and cloud server. The sunlight intensity affected to the dimming value of the lamp. It uses fuzzy logic to regulates the switching of lamps. LTE lamp controller supports the dimming mode such as 0-10V dimmer. This voltage directly correlates to the light output. At 10 Volt, the lamp should produce 100% light. At 0 Volt, 0% lighting output or off. Based on the result, The highest of sunlight intensity is 7796 lux generating the voltage of 1 Volt (lamp off). Abstract

Monitoring the availability of parking lots in the campus area is very important. This is related to the solution of the problem of limited parking spaces for four-wheeled vehicles. Existing parking spaces can be optimized by adding a vehicle detection device. This vehicle detection device uses ultrasonic sensors and its programming is based on the ESP32 Microcontroller. Sensitivity parameters measured are object detection distance, influence of other frequencies, influence of passing objects and range areas horizontally and vertically. In the research, the measurement results obtained are object detection distance up to 350 cm, the influence of other frequencies does not exist, passing objects can be detected by vehicle detection devices, range areas vertically up to 250 cm and horizontally up to 150 cm. Based on the test results, the distance reading by the ultrasonic sensor on the vehicle detection device is accurate. This measurement is in accordance with the specifications of the GH-311 type ultrasonic sensor used in the device.
